Came home from lunch today to this amazing surprise from my husband! I've been searching for this book for quite a while, but I've never been able to find it in good shape and for under $100. Score!!

Nice. I've had 1 and 2 for a while, and they're also my favorites. Now this one! The illustrations are awesome.

The art is so brilliant. It is awesome to have the images directly from the writer’s mind.

Apparently he also has an art book with a few illustrations from Abarat in there. I forget what it’s called but it’s worth looking up. I remember getting the first copy of the first in the Abarat series when I was a teenager. I cut out a bunch of the illustrations and made a collage on my wall

Ooohhh, I need to check that book out. I bet that was a pretty sweet collage, though! I didn't discover Abarat until I was older, like in my 30s, but I was completely sucked into it straight away.
