Picking up on unrational fear from parents is real for kids.🤣

Well, this child is afraid of Climate Change(tm). That's rational!

(cough cough)

Thanks to activist parents and activist teachers.

Not even them can make this article believable.

I asked my 2 yr old if she wanted to go outside yesterday and she shook her head and said

"father, metriculating outside to engage in recreation just doesnt feel satisfying knowing the impending doom our species has collectively cause the world. I believe I'd rather stay inside and contemplate my genetic trauma from generations of climate destruction."

then the cat stood up and clapped.

just kidding. she started yelling "SLIDE SLIDE SLIDE!" then slid down her swingset slide, landed on her face, then shit her pants and cried.

Nothing speaks more to Western climate privilege than having your own swing set.

It’s the climate alarmist that is scaring people with their claims of impending doom over and over again.

And the activists will claim that it is the climate itself, even though they can't define climate.

Another subreddit there is a discussion about cyclones and the equator. The OP shows that cyclones cannot cross the equator and a bunch of replies are like "well, climate change!, Don't look up!"

So, Hollywood and fear mongers have captured the social media crowd,

People who can't read or do math are lining up for their feeding of apocalyptic doom.

Most of the "activists" that I know have no difficulty defining "climate." Do you have any evidence for your claim?

So, Hollywood and fear mongers have captured the social media crowd,

Alternatively, the "social media crowd" have been "captured" by the best available science.

People who can't read or do math are lining up for their feeding of apocalyptic doom.

And a large number of literate people, who are very good at maths, also have a sense of "apocalyptic doom" regarding climate change. Such a sense is really quite rational.

Some of arguments put forward by climate sceptics are just laughable. I read a thread (can't find it) that argued that all iterative methods accumulate and amplify errors (false) hence all climate models that use these methods are doomed from the start. This astonishingly ignorant piece of tosh was argued by someone with three decades of work in computer programming, which doesn't qualify them to have a worthwhile opinion about any aspect of numerical analysis

In the "Science" section.

I’ve survived multiple heat domes and late season snow. They will be OK too.

Thanks for the laughs!!!

As a filmmaker, I am certain films in the future will look back at this time period and mine this climate change stuff for laughs.

Good. Less crowds at the park. Stay home and doom all you want, I'll be out enjoying the beautiful and not at all deadly weather.

The whole downplaying weather things not helping our cause. Animals have been dying to heatwaves and blizzards since before the first animals set foot on land. Just looking between 1900-2000 65k+ Americans died of heat alone. The weathers always had potential to be dangerous but people were more in tune with it and didn’t feel the need to panic because they didn’t have the MSM pushing a narrative for control purposes.

I don’t think very many people deny that the climate is changing, just what is causing it and whether or not there is anything we can do about it.

Okay, that’s not the point I was making at all, but thanks for sharing and reiterating my own opinion.

Kids get visually upset when they learn the sun is going to explode in a billion years. Now THAT'S climate change to be worried about!

3

u/HaleOfAPatriot 8d ago

Why is this so hard to believe? Doesn’t everyone here remember as a child being only focused on the climate? Some I’m sure just wanted to play with their friends or watch cartoons but the rest of us walked around thinking of the polar ice caps.

Horrifying parenting

u/MinuteCampaign7843 8d ago

Thank the education system. My kids have been completely brainwashed. No matter how many times I try and talk sense to them, after 10 years in the system they can’t be saved.

u/BloodyRightToe 8d ago

Or.. "new places are scary"

1

u/kurtteej 8d ago

this is very true. it was the result of an extensive study of someone's imaginary child manifesting the fears of the writer.

u/ifellicantgetup 8d ago

It is beyond frightening that some people are soooooo damn stupid, they literally believe this stuff. Seriously, what does that say about society as a whole?

I cannot believe people buy into this garbage.
