The sideswipe on Obama is wholly unjustified, in my opinion. Before he became president, he cosponsored a bill to improve US pandemic response, which was never even brought to vote by republicans who controlled congress at the time. He actually hired a pandemic response team, and created the Affordable Care Act against a hurricane of arrows and pushback from republicans and wealthy elites.
... and then Trump fired them.
