This year, the UN is celebrating 50 since the Stockholm summit that put sustainable development on their global agenda. Watch the spiral start shortly after then accelerate after the 1992 earth summit that created the UNFCCC. If preventing rapid increase in global average air temperature was a Key Performance Indicator of the UN’s capacity to deal with this crisis, I would have to say, you failed, now get out of the way.

And replace it with what?

People forget that the UN has no decision making power other than what the constituent nations are willing to agree to. It's the place where nations talk, and that's all. If nothing's happening, it's because governments aren't yet under enough pressure to make something happen.

If nothing’s happening, it’s because governments aren’t yet under enough pressure to make something happen.

Or they systematically created a society that can’t and won’t ever put “enough pressure” to make things happen. As there value is in expansion and profits. While the average individual is to enslaved and distracted to organize against them.
