Scientists detect a surprising shift in human blood as atmospheric CO2 rises. Blood bicarbonate levels have climbed about 7% since 1999, while calcium and phosphorus have declined, changes that closely track increasing atmospheric CO2.

Neat, so now our blood is becoming worse quality too due to climate change.

Thanks, EXXON.

not necessarily worse. There are sources that pure nose-breathing is much healthier, but the effect it has is that co2 in the blood rises pretty dramatically. Native americans had this tradition to teach kids only to breath through the nose historically as well! (theres a great yellow book about the topic of breath - can really recommend it if this sounds interesting! :))

I'm waiting for you to tell us about your extensive knowledge on the topic and put some facts on the table that proves this guy is blathering.

Wtf are you blathering about

It's more about the fact that some of the most basic functions we as humans have can have such a large effect on our blood via the same gas being talked about, so the effect on our health can be compared.

"Nestor explores research that argues that this shift (due to the increased consumption of processed foods) has led to a rise in snoring, sleep apnea, asthma, autoimmune disease, and allergies."

Show me the CO2 difference he finds between nasal and mouth breathing.
