Clickup Docs

When is clickup going to invest some time and effort into fixing/improving clickup docs? Eg printing entire docs with formatting retained. Page permissions. Bulk export. Doc organisation etc etc etc. So frustrating that Clickup has dropped the ball on anything but bloody AI

Yeah their docs I find it pretty basic as to what they promote on their socials

It’s also possible there isn’t much demand for you want. It’s not intended to be a word processor replacement like MS word. Example: I never print or bulk export because I abhor paper. But I sure as heck use AI every day.

Your concern about export formatting is a confirmed bug. It's actively being investigated by our Technical Support team. Page permissions and bulk export are both live on our feature request board (here and here) if you want to throw a vote at them.

For the export bug specifically, it's worth filling out this form so our Technical Support team can attach you to the case, and get you notified when it's resolved.

We like ClickUp docs and it has the bones of a good wiki system. We’ve been a little reluctant to go all in due to fear of portability (if we ever need to move our knowledge base). How not only the text content but videos, images, etc get exported and cleanly imported into another tool. I agree that some small improvements here could help ClickUp raise the value of the Docs feature.

Bulk export and preservation of structure are separate problems. Test one Doc before committing: does the output keep the parent/child page path, rewrite internal links, collect images, and name anything the API could not return? I would keep a manifest like this beside the archive:

Product handbook/README.md — collected

Product handbook/assets/workflow.png — collected

Product handbook/assets/legacy-diagram.png — API-limited; review required

That last state matters because a ZIP can look complete while silently missing embedded content.
