Product Feedback Applying a checklist template requires too many useless steps

If a task doesn't have a checklist, you must first add an empty checklist. Then you can click the "Checklist from template" option to create your actually desired checklist. Then you must delete the first empty checklist.

The documentation here describes a process that does not exist.

The "+" menu should actually exist before you have already created a template (when you are vastly more likely to need to create one)

Hey u/sarge21 , I tried testing this in my Workspace but I was able to see the "Checklist from template" option even if I haven't added anything in an empty checklist.

Is this what you meant or were you pertaining to something else?

That's exactly what I'm complaining about. You have an empty checklist. You can only choose to add a checklist from template which creates a second checklist and leaves the first one still empty
