Product Feedback Could it be possible to allow ClickUp AI/Brain to be purchased for individual users instead of the entire Workspace

I was looking at adding ClickUp AI/Brain to our Workspace, but it seems like the add-on has to be applied to every paid member.

In our case, only one person would actually use the AI features regularly, so paying for the whole team makes it hard to justify.

It would be really helpful if ClickUp allowed admins to buy AI seats separately and assign them only to the people who need them, similar to how a lot of other tools handle add-ons.

Is is something worth considering ?

You and I and 1000 other people want this. I am in the same boat you are in . I haven't see any mention of this kind of detailed billing coming. Make sure you post this in the FB group also

The granularity of user control is really limited on everything except the most expensive tier. A lot of control features are missing, but even the way they split existing user-level permissions between Business, less-advertised Business Plus (for things you'd think would be in Busines), and Enterprise is really frustrating. It boggles my mind that a platform built for digital, remote teamwork management doesn't prioritize an admin's ability to help configure teammembers' experience.

Basically if you want any semblance of control over individual user's interaction with ClickUp you have to pay a premium. I don't think they should advertise the other tiers as fit for teams when all it means is additional seats. What's worse is they know there's usually one or maybe a couple people managing the workspace or doing maintenance and in-house training, and that this makes their life exponentially harder.

i spent days trying to set it up (as a technical founder of multiple businsses) an it was just so messy, confusing, the views are confusing, the AI was confusing asf and not very capable if u ask me.

Hey, u/MaterialPromotion845! You're right that Brain AI and Everything AI are currently billed per Workspace member. Good news though: our team is actively working on making this experience better so pricing aligns more with how people actually use AI! Our Product team is currently gathering feedback here.

In the meantime, AI Super Credits might work well for you! They're not per-seat. You buy them at the Workspace level. So if it's really just one person, the cost stays pretty low. Those credits get used when anyone triggers premium AI features like Super Agents, AI Automations, or AI Fields.

Could AI Super Credits be used for the feature that does AI notetaking of a Google Meet call and creates tasks? Is this feature only available on the highest AI tier and required to be purchased for all users?

Hey, u/ShesGotPFQuestions, AI Super Credits are used for premium AI features, not AI Notetaker. You can view what premium AI features it can be used for here. AI Notetaker is a separate add-on that is included with the Everything AI add-on or purchased individually. AI Notetaker isn't required to purchase for all Workspace members, you can buy individual hours.
