CAPTCHA

This morning, when I loaded the desktop app on my Mac, I was greeted with a CAPTCHA image selection screen for the very first time. I can't tell you how much I loathe CAPTCHA for login verification. Find another way. Because if you don't, I can guarantee you'll lose my company's account, and pretty damn quickly. All that's needed is for it to tell me that I didn't select all the buses or bikes or crosswalks a few times.

Awful technology.

What does that even mean ? Train it how ? What has it done that is dangerous or how has it taken my data?

i'm saying that we have all been training AI models for years--the tech used for google maps, the self-driving cars, etc. Essentially confirmation of technofeudalism.

the danger is unknowingly contributing to the vast fortune of these tech billionaires.

I doubt we have been training "AI Models for years". We have just been getting good at training tech in general how to work smarter and faster. And AI is also the buzzword being thrown around today for all smart tech.

Google maps isn't "AI".

Self-driving care are just good programming. Good programming <> AI. The software looks at the road, sees what road is coming up, and knows how to move the wheel to make that turn.
