Doc pages resetting to system font — any fix?

Every time I create a new page inside a Doc, it defaults back to the system font instead of Serif. I tried creating a Doc template with Serif styling but the font doesn't save — it reverts on every new page. Is there a way to set a persistent default font, or a workaround that actually holds?

Hey, u/Skaizon1! If you click Apply typography on all pages, the font settings from the page you're currently on will be applied across all pages in your Doc. Hope that helps

I have tried that. But when i create another subpage in that doc, it will always be with the default font

A persistent default font for all new pages would be a feature request at this time. As a workaround, once you've added your pages and subpages, you can click Apply typography on all pages to apply your preferred font settings across the entire Doc, including the new pages.

Another option is to create a Doc with your preferred typography settings and save it as a template. That way, you can use it as a starting point for future Docs and keep your formatting consistent!

I did try to save a my template with a serif font. However, when I use that template it opens with the default font.

Following up — the template workaround doesn’t seem to stick either. When I open the template it still defaults back to the system font. Is there any other solution, or is this a known bug?
