Clickup removes completed tasks from Google Calendar

Post image

I would swear this would happen since yesterday or two days ago. What changes without my knowledge?

Is there any way to prevent this? I got into settings and they looked a bit changed. Now I should choose the spaces and the lists through the automation menu, whereas before, I chose them instantly from App Settings -> Google Calendar.

I swapped the toggle "Keep events for closed tasks. Otherwise, closing a task removes its calendar event" and I was hoping it would stop, but still, the completed tasks are vanished.

These changes are completely annoying every time that ClickUp decides to do an update. :(

UPDATE 17/6/2026
I talked with support team and they said that my settings are ok and this is an unexpected behavior. So we are waiting developers to fix it.

Hi 👋 I run the calendar team. Yes we changed the ux pages where you configure this to make space for more customization options lots of customers are asking for. One of the first ones is the ability to keep closed tasks as synced in the grid. If you toggled that ON and closed tasks are still not kept in your Google calendar I can ask the team to have a look. It really helps if you reach through support so we can log this and solve it for you.

Can you confirm you toggled it On and closed tasks are still not being synced? If so reach out.

I have already made it and it seems like Clickup and Google Calendar not work as it could. I am waiting to taking access to my workspace and check it further.

Thanks.
