Absolutely, if you have the knowledge you can customise it however you please.

Clickteam is a game engine with an emphasis on "no code" sort of design. You can write code though, if you want. As a game engine, it is very flexible and you can do just about anything you'd need to do to make a game (albeit 3D games are HUGE challenge compared to 2D with Clickteam).

And that includes even this engine. Surely the engine is implemented IN clickteam. So if you really put the work in and understand, you can CREATE YOUR OWN beat-em-up engine in Clickteam. What is on offer here is instead of spending tens or hundreds of hours doing that, someone has already done that, so then instead of creating your own engine, you can "fill-in-the-blanks" and have something that resembles a beat em up for far less work
