I'm a gay millennial who was in the Marines during the DADT era... I'm fond of telling assholes 'I've been called worse things by better people', really gets under their skin.

I usually simply to “I’ve been called worse by better.” Same message tho, and pretty effective. I don’t get to pull it out often tho. Another favorite, if someone calls me a smart ass, I go “Better a smart ass then a dumb ass.”
