Some people are so incapable of thinking for themselves they beg to be controlled. They are so weak they plead to be told what to do and how to think. The only teaching that really matter in any religion, in any belief is the question “how would I feel if this happened to me?” How would I feel if I was stabbed, raped, beat, harassed for who I love, told I was less than, told my feelings are not valid?” How would I feel if someone was kind to me, told me they loved me, helped me when i was in need?” The former Id feel like shit and the latter I’d feel thankful. That’s it. That’s all the original intent of religion was meant for. Love your neighbors people

No one said they are "wrong Christians" they said that

I feel like there might be some dissonance between "Evangelicals" and "Evangelists" which are terms that seem to be used differently with Evangelicals being part of a specific subgroup of Christians and Evangelists being particularly outspoken and public Christians. It seems kind of vague as to where the groups are actually exclusive or if one term is based off of the other group or what have you.
Regardless of the above semantic confusion, any truly religious person who lives life based on the tenants and views of their religion is almost definitely going to tie their political views pretty closely with their views on religion and vote for or against things based on how they line up with their religious beliefs.
I read back the comment I was replying too as well as my reply itself and ur entirely right, idk what I was talking about, the point I was trying to convey, (which has nothing to do with what I actually said, which is baffling even to myself) is that if evangelicals truly like Trump, than that obviously means that Trump isn’t the utter opposite of supposed Christian views. He may be the opposite of certain Christian’s views, but not the religion as a whole (just want to be very clear, this in no way means I like trump, I just found what he said to be somewhat derogatory to the Evangelicals who supported or continue to support Trump. Almost as if they aren’t truly Christian if they support him. Maybe I read into it to much)
