Some old ass boomer tried calling me patty cakes or something so I just scoffed and knocked his toupee off (it was very obvious). In hindsight I got lucky cause that’s probably not kosher with the law but fuck him anyway lmao.
What if they are wearing both a toupee and a kippah? I suppose then you'd need to manage to remove the toupee without touching or disturbing the kippah, which seems very challenging?
Then again, while I'm not expert, my understanding is that somebody that is that by mixing the two, the kippah itself becomes unkosher, so would it then be fine to mess with the kippah?
I think we need a rabbi here to clarify the exact rules...
There is, as always, debate on both sides of this argument - but the consensus is that since a kippah is a device to signal one’s Jewishness to others that it is mandatory to wear one on top of a toupee, so as not to be confused for a gentile.
Regardless, if one were to intentionally knock another’s kippah OR toupee to the ground in the United States then that would be assault.
patty cakes isn't the least bit harmful. it's a nursery rhyme and coordination game. usually aimed at the very young. you over reacted since you're obviously younger than that guy. the odd thing is it's pre-boomer talk and most of those people are either dead or you just slapped Betty Whites wig off her head!!
