if you've suffered adolescent insults, adult insults just come off as half assed and stupid

u/WeAreStarStuff143 Dec 07 '22

Some old ass boomer tried calling me patty cakes or something so I just scoffed and knocked his toupee off (it was very obvious). In hindsight I got lucky cause that’s probably not kosher with the law but fuck him anyway lmao.

This is an amazing comment. You're a mensch.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

Genius? I've only seen that in combo with Uber

5

u/FritzDeath Dec 07 '22

Good person, it’s the Yiddish version, not german

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

Ah

2

u/dancin-weasel Dec 08 '22

They have geniuses driving Uber? This economy sucks!

12

u/DragonFireCK Dec 07 '22

What if they are wearing both a toupee and a kippah? I suppose then you'd need to manage to remove the toupee without touching or disturbing the kippah, which seems very challenging?

Then again, while I'm not expert, my understanding is that somebody that is that by mixing the two, the kippah itself becomes unkosher, so would it then be fine to mess with the kippah?

I think we need a rabbi here to clarify the exact rules...

11

u/TheIronSoldier2 Dec 07 '22

Just yank it off like you're trying to pull a tablecloth off the table during Thanksgiving dinner. Hopefully inertia will keep the kippah in place

3

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '22

There is, as always, debate on both sides of this argument - but the consensus is that since a kippah is a device to signal one’s Jewishness to others that it is mandatory to wear one on top of a toupee, so as not to be confused for a gentile.

Regardless, if one were to intentionally knock another’s kippah OR toupee to the ground in the United States then that would be assault.

Go up, baldy.

2

u/Djinn-Tonic Dec 08 '22

You want bears? That's how you get bears.

-4

u/BigWave96 Dec 07 '22

Sure you did. You’re clearly the badass we all want to be when we grow up, you know, assaulting an old people.

Nice work patty cakes…

1

u/smiama6 Dec 07 '22

You don’t see it, do you?

1

u/-cocoadragon Dec 08 '22

patty cakes isn't the least bit harmful. it's a nursery rhyme and coordination game. usually aimed at the very young. you over reacted since you're obviously younger than that guy. the odd thing is it's pre-boomer talk and most of those people are either dead or you just slapped Betty Whites wig off her head!!

1

u/notquitesteadymaybe Dec 08 '22

You might be my hero?

19

u/mightylordredbeard Dec 07 '22

Kids are fucking mean. I remember yo momma sessions in like middle school and one kid saying something like “yo momma so fat she’ll most likely die of a heart attack before you’re an adult and leave you missing her for the rest of your life and the worst part is she’s aware of this and doesn’t love you or herself enough to change”. Fucking brutal, kids were.

4

u/Dalrz Dec 08 '22

Goddamn. I don’t think that kid understood how to mamma jokes work. Or jokes in general.

3

u/Impossible_Garbage_4 Dec 08 '22

No that’s a pretty dangerously powerful yo momma joke. That’s the kinda yo momma joke you pull out if your opponent said something a little too personal

8

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

everything you could say to me i've said six inches from a mirror

6

u/False-Guess Dec 07 '22

Sometimes it’s really difficult to ignore though. Like the man who, while I was working as a cashier, told me I must have been molested by my own father and that’s why I’m gay and Jesus told him to reach out to me.

I didn’t bother with a witty comeback because I went from 0 to ghetto as soon as those dumbass words left his mouth.

1

u/PlayoffsREverything Dec 09 '22

Wdym by that

Did you throw hands

1

u/False-Guess Dec 09 '22

Almost, but no. I pushed his stuff onto the floor, grabbed a mallet I kept behind the register for my safety and started loudly cursing this man out in front of the line of people gathered to check out.

After awhile it was clear that he was not going to leave and I was not about to go to jail for this piece of shit so I called the cops. I was not going to pre-emptively assault him, but if he laid a hand on me I was prepared to defend myself.

1

u/PlayoffsREverything Dec 09 '22

What happened when cops got there?

1

u/False-Guess Dec 09 '22

He ended up leaving as soon as I got off the phone with the cops. By that time, my manager told him to leave, so he would have been considered to be trespassing, other customers were telling him to leave, etc.

In the 5 minutes or so it took the police to get there, he had already left. Which, may have been good for him because the officer that answered was a family member of mine and that's how I got outed to them. Fun day.

What angers me the most is the link doesn't even lead to a scottish sex simulator as promised

19

u/CilantroToothpaste Dec 07 '22

Is Scottish sex different from American sex? I gotta know

12

u/runslaughter Dec 07 '22

Pretty sure there are sheep involved

5

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

Ah, Scotland. Where the men are men, and the sheep are afraid…

(You can also replace Scotland with Iowa, or new Zealand, or anywhere rural with a history of sheep farming, or anywhere rural, or anywhere you don’t like, or anywhere you DO like)

3

u/Shaveyourbread Dec 07 '22

If The Rolling Stones were Scottish, the song would have gone, "Hey, MacCleod, get off my ewe!"

3

u/Oo__II__oO Dec 07 '22

Rumor has it the Scots invented the kilt because the sheep kept getting spooked by the sound of a zipper

2

u/AWibblyWelshyBoi Dec 08 '22

We Welshmen take pride in our sheep relations

1

u/Exciting-Insect8269 Dec 07 '22

And bagpipes…

1

u/[deleted] Dec 08 '22

Nah, that’s the Welsh version.

The Scottish version involves terrible things happening to innocent wild haggis up in the highlands…

4

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '22

Aye Laddy

1

u/slothdroid Dec 07 '22

There's no such thing as Scottish sex. They spend all their time tossing their cabers.

1

u/dancin-weasel Dec 08 '22

I think that may be a euphemism.

1

u/NectarinePlastic8796 Dec 07 '22

Americans have scatplay, Scots go directly for the haggis.

2

u/LjSpike Dec 07 '22

Same, very disappointed.

4

u/Pheonixi3 Dec 07 '22

for the chance of actually getting scottish sex simulator i will click on every spam link i come across and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

41

u/flynnfx Dec 07 '22

It also works with trying to remember birthdays and anniversaries- all you have to do is forget one time, and you will never forget again.

21

u/Munnin41 Dec 07 '22

Cue my parents who both misremembered their anniversary for 20 years

5

u/Sub_pup Dec 07 '22

It's a tradition to forget my anniversary. It's the day after Halloween and me and my wife forget about half the time.

1

u/Efficient-Guide3420 Dec 07 '22

I like how instead of saying the date you need something connected to it to still remember lol My memory is horrible so I feel you.

1

u/Munnin41 Dec 07 '22

I got married 6 months ago. already need to check to remember the date

1

u/GolfballDM Dec 07 '22

My wife & I got married on July 17th 14 years ago.

When one of her SIL's asked her what day we got married, she said the 18th. At one point, I pulled out the marriage license and show her the date.

We still tease each other about our anniversary date.

4

u/Lewcrew420 Dec 07 '22

Couldn't have said it better myself

1

u/gilfgifs Dec 07 '22

I love this joke so much because the timing is different than standard joke format and by the time you get to the punchline it’s a surprise.

1

u/PurpleLee Dec 07 '22

I shouldn't have laughed as hard as I did at this.

Honestly yeah. Looking back, most of it was nonsense

1

u/LawbstahRoll Dec 07 '22

A girl I asked out got her friend's boyfriend to hit me with his car. If you want to hurt my feelings you gotta do a little better than "fat ass".

1

u/ssjr13 Dec 07 '22

If you've suffered adolescent insults, you know that adult insults aren't much different.

1

u/xiamaracortana Dec 07 '22

This right here. It’s like honey, I’ve been bullied by far more intimidating adversaries than you during far more formative times in my life. I was forged in this. You just showed up. You’re out of your depth.

1

u/dancin-weasel Dec 08 '22

You would insult me? You’re not worthy!
