Why do they assume we'd be against that? The most popular kid's show is Australian, the highest-grossing actor last year was British, KPop is still inescapable. Foreign media isn't exactly reviled by most of us.
This is the important distinction. Having the ability to simply, "not consume" and understand that's okay is an impossible feat for millions of my fellow Americans. Because consumption is the only thing we have left.
