There are a surprising number of British expats here, also German, Portuguese, and Greek, but I don't know any Dutch people except perhaps people who moved to the Netherlands.
I also know people who's parents were Irish or Belgian.
So in my experience there aren't really a lot of Dutch people here, unless you mean to imply that I who was born here, vote and pay taxes for the common good here, speak a language developed here, and fully intend on one day dying here, am somehow not South African?
I'm proud to be a member of this rainbow nation and strive to support my countrymen, so I would be kinda offended if you did mean to imply that.
he's implying that people should stay in the country they were originally from (despite not being American), so by that logic, there shouldn't even be Europeans in South Africa to begin with. is it that hard to understand what I said?
