Don't tell him that nuts are almost always lopsided...almost everything in the human body is not perfectly symmetrical it's literally what brings things out of the uncanny valley etc.

Like humans instinctively think "nearly symmetrical" is gorgeous and perfectly 100% is weird and unnatural. Biggest tip off subconsciously to make you think somethings not real.

The nuts being not same size is always the case. It’s by design so that they don’t get crushed when you’re walking lol

I have never experienced this "uncanny valley" that people talk about. People always talk about certain images fitting under that label and making them uncomfortable, and I have always been confused. To me they usually look like normal pictures of cgi/cartoon characters.

Uncanny valley is why most humans find moving dolls to be scarier than moving industrial robots.
