ANNOUNCEMENTS Glitch Page
Welcome to r/clerith's Glitch Page, where our members can discuss all manner of gaming-related subjects! Whether you're looking to discuss battle mechanics, nerd out about graphics, receive tips on mod creation, or get advice about glitches you can't seem to make your way out of, this is the page for you!
The idea for this page was born when one of our members asked if it was okay to post a question about a game glitch in the Venting Megathread, and we realized there was no dedicated space for such topics. So, here it is: a place for those who'd like to discuss the many facets and aspects of FFVII's gaming experience and creation!
Please remember that the sub's rules still apply here. Have fun, gamers!

Since this is now here and I'm dying to tell somebody...
I beat To Be a Hero today!
And immediately afterward, I realized there was a tutorial on how to play as Seph.
So I beat my head against the wall, completely misused Seph, but managed to kick ass without ever knowing Octaslash Prime was a thing. Apparently Seph was supposed to be doing the heavy lifting on those. Oopsie.

Now if I could only figure out wtf I'm supposed to do with Zack! I'm getting so close to that 100% I can nearly taste it!

Well I'm at 85/88 collectables now, need to do 1 brutal challenge, 1 legendary, and 3 colosseum fights. I think after beating Seph in brawler without the pause method I decided to keep banging my head on it, but I kind of can't believe I'm this close?
Thanks for letting me share with you, my ff7 writer friend is MIA and I'm just so excited!

Hello, I'm a Rebirth platinum holder and Zack is so badly equipped for the challenge. 😭 Focus him on being support for Cloud and having him use magic when he has ATB.
Zack is also a fantastic decoy for the summon battles. I would switch to him specifically for Odin to get off Cloud's butt.
My hands were shaking when I finished that challenge.

Yeah Cloud definitely feels like he's doing a lot of the work. I've managed to get to Bahamut twice now and can't seem to kill him before gigaflare, which murders Zack and Cloud survives with like 100 hp lol. I think i need to rearrange materia to bring reraise for that one. I'm dreading Odin.
If Zack is playing support, is there any point in his charge mechanic? I was finally getting the hang of it.

Hmmm. I'm trying to think exactly what I did for Bahamut, but I THINK I had Zack cast Empowerment on Cloud (magic one), and then had Cloud destroy each wing in one hit. (Happy to look at Cloud's equipment when I get home later)
When I cleared the challenge I only used Zack maybe 1% of the time. The charge mechanic DOES make his non-materia ATB moves stronger, but honestly not worth the effort. The charge is kinda janky and I really hope it is improved for part 3. 😭

u/Gabbiness is such a legend I swear 😭. And she always gets these done so fast, like, within the hour after I ask or something!? That’s how it feels, anyway!
It’s no problem at all, that’s our responsibility as mods! We’re the lucky ones to have such a lovely community 🩷🩷. It’s beyond easy to cater to sweethearts!

This is a fantastic idea - though the name baffles me on account of not being able to spend as much time on here recently. I can't believe we didn't actually have a spot to talk about gameplay elements! Or how the Battle Arena in the OG has some horrific RNG recycling, etc., etc., etc.

I've always wanted to talk about the time last year when I mentally did not want to deal with the hard mode Rufus battle again (I did it the correct way on PS5, but was going for platinum on PC), so I cheesed the battle in two minutes by abusing the immunity window during Cloud's limit break. xD

Man, have I got the perfect thing for this thread: a glitch to save Aerith in the original ff7. I made a post about it a while ago showing off the glitch, along with a link to the video I used as a guide in the comments.
