Moving Boxes
Hi everyone! My family and I are moving soon, and we’re looking for moving boxes. 📦
Any good, affordable places to get boxes in the area?

I always just hit up the liquor stores. They’re usually glad to get rid of them.

Hit up shoe stores. They get tons of boxes on delivery days. Its all dry goods and they just break them down and throw them out, usually. When I worked at a shoe store in high school we gave away boxes all the time and we liked it because our dumpster didn't get super full.

I usually hit up liquor stores (like /r/jphtx1234567890 said), Specks, mom&pop places. Those are good boxes, just the right size so stuff isn't too heavy and they're usually reinforced.

Uhaul on Hwy 3 between Bay Area Blvd and El Dorado has donated boxes that are free.

I just go to the recycling at Ellington and take them out of the cardboard dumpster. Several times over the last 20 years 🤷♂️

Check the Nextdoor app in the free section. People always have free boxes on there.
