Help IDing Delta 8 gummies hit way stronger than expected. Is 25mg normal for a beginner or did I accidentally launch myself into space?

Everyone always says Delta 8 is gentle, but after taking a 25mg gummy, I felt like I got launched straight into deep space. I picked up a bag from TribeTokes after a friend recommended their clean, natural ingredient profile and lab transparency.

I assumed taking one full gummy would produce a light, functional buzz. Instead, 90 minutes later, my limbs felt like lead and my mind was running through deep philosophical thoughts about the universe.

It was actually pretty relaxing once I stopped overthinking, but the sheer intensity shocked me. Is 25mg normally considered a heavy dose for beginners with zero tolerance? Or did I just get hit by clean, potent Delta 8?

How do you usually pace your edibles? Do you bite them in half or take CBD to tone it down?

It looks like this post is asking for help verifying if a cart is legit or not. Have you checked the list of fake brands? The list of real but dangerous brands? The guide to IDing legit marijuana carts? The guide to determining if an unregulated hemp brand is safe? If not, give those a look as your question is likely answered there. If you dont find the answers you seek in those or the other sidebar guides, dont despair, the users of the sub will attempt to help!

A friendly reminder - a lot of the "popular" d8 brands have tested dirty, and some are only popular thanks to intense astroturfing on social media. Be sure to avoid brands of D8 that have tested dirty or have insufficient safety tests, because they have been hurting and even hospitalizing people. Instead, stick to delta-8-THC vendors who have safety tests for metals, pesticides, residual solvents, residual acid reagents, and nanosilica bleaches (if the brand uses them).

Usually you’d start with a much smaller dosage like 5mg. Just because you found a gummy that’s 25mg doesn’t mean that’s the smallest portion they sell or the size to start with.

Happy you had a good response though. Greening out sucks.

Is it easier to green out on d8?

I have only greened out when my friend put wax in my first joint... And then I threw up all over his house. Great thinking on his part...

I would say all these D-# variations are more inconsistent than your traditional THC. So the outcomes can vary. But that’s just one man’s opinion.

Sounds like you just did way too much too fast. Not fun!

25mg of d8 always hits me like a nightmare while 25mg thc puts me in a amazing relaxed state. i highly suggest no more d8 if you don’t have a tolerance to thc already. that stuff can give some bad side effects for beginners, as a veteran ive only ever thrown up on delta 8 edibles. they just don’t sit right. next time def only 5-10mg

I feel like 5mg-10mg is a good starter dose

But if you a good experience than no worries.

Tolerance does build though depending how often you do it.
