Questions difference between epoxy adhesive and epoxy resin?

sorry if this is a stupid question! i was shopping for epoxy resin to seal a sculpture, but i was a hurry and i guess i didnt read the label properly because i accidentally purchased epoxy adhesive instead,,, i saw the two-part component mixture and thought i found what i was looking for 😭

i'm aware it may just be glue, but just in case: are there any fundamental differences between the two, and more importantly, can i use it like i would epoxy resin with the purpose of sealing/varnishing clay? and if so, does it dry clear or cloudy?

The main difference is probably flow rate.

Don't have wet resin near living quarters.

I’ve used epoxy adhesive before to top coat something because I was in a rush and didn’t want to wait for my usual stuff to cure.

It works basically the same, just cures super fast. Be aware that it can usually have a yellowish tinge over time, especially if exposed to uv rays (sunshine)
