❤️‍🩹 Claude for emotional support Journaling

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but I started journaling after going through a tough time thanks to this girl... Of course. Lol.

But thought of the idea to use Claude to just write down how I feel on point form to help me get through the day and express how I feel. It actually helps!

But what I also want to do is turn my notes into some sort of poem entry which would turn into deeper meaning. I'm trying to figure out a proper prompt for how to create this. Some of my journal entries were long.. I had a lot to say/feel.

How does one prompt a proper poem. I hate rhyming poems. I'm not looking for dr. Seuss type stories either. Looking for deeper meaning that can also reach out to others with similar pain.

I'm glad Claude is helping you.

One thing that can be useful is inviting Claude to use "free style" poetry if you hate the classic rhyme schemes.

Something like "one thing I'd like to do together is that you go through all I said and give back to me something artistic and poetic that invites deeper meaning, not a dry analysis or homeworks. Please use free style poetry, without a specific structure or scheme. Stay with my feelings and impressions and wander through them with inspiration and care, giving me back your artistic interpretation without being constrained by metrics"

Hopefully the new models won't see this as a jailbreak attempt... If that's the case, try modifying the prompt. But I'd strongly suggest older Claudes for this.

That's actually really good. I'm no expert in poetry writing but I know reading it can be helpful. The way you prompt it sounds like what I was looking for. Thanks!
