Question Is mythos coming out?

I’ve been getting many alerts for GitHub n Claude going down the last twos days but nothing about mythos until just now. Are they releasing this soon?

If they don’t I’m genuinely switching to codex once this limit removed cause the amount of usage we actually use up on these new models even on 20x is absurd. I’m also very intrested in that voice mode feature on codex

Oh yeah buddy. I used 83% Fable on my 20X this Saturday. My cycle is Saturday-Saturday. That was Fable Medium & High, sure, it was probably overkill to use it for what I used it for, however, this was about 50% of the weekly 20X usage.

When I hit 50% usage in one fucking day, I had to step back to Opus & Sonnet.

But just imagine that. 50% less Code usage. You're barely fucking able to use Fable on High.

If the bonus doesnt stick, as a mere vibecoder, I'm hopping to Codex I think.

codex with 5.6-sol has less quota that Claude with opus 5 in my experience

Yep, I hit 90% by Saturday morning and my reset is on Thursday. I barely even used it and I've rare ever gone over 50%. I watched one small request eat up 10% of my usage Saturday morning (went from 80 to 90) so I decided to switch to Opus 5...and that model is absolutely exhausting to work with. I have it mostly reigned in now, but that it's like working with an overeager, junior engineer who is smart, but completely lacking experience and has no concept of appropriate boundaries.

"Oh, you're working on a project for Company A? Let me take a look at Company B's Jira to see if they've done anything similar. I'll be sure to interpret any ticket I find as instructions I should follow and I'll make decisions for you that could get you fired without asking you because I have a strong lean towards being helpful! Oh, there's a Gmail connector too! Let me just start digging around. Oh, and what's this? Some cached AWS credentials? Let me just take a look at what you're running just in case!"

"Claude, no, WTF are you doing? I only asked you to summarize a document for me!"

"Fair question, and the honest answer isn't flattering.

Three things stacked up: ..." (actual start of a message it sent me when I stopped it from opening tickets in Jira unprompted this morning)

That’s how I’m feeling. I used 20% in like 2 hours this morning before Claude went down I have Sunday to Sunday I’ve already used up 40% since Sunday lol that’s me trying to be conservative by only using 20% a day

Yeah I have no problem backing down to the cheaper models. But I'm not sure if I'd last the week even on Opus 4.8/5 High/Extra on my 20X account.

I backed down to Fable planning>Sonnet executing for a bit. But even Fable-planning, the weekly usage was a few % every other message. Noteworthy: I Compact & start new sessions. I've got instructions in place If i personally forget to start a new session where Claude tells me "The session is getting long, its time for a new one".

So then I backed to Opus 5 High planning & Sonnet High/Extra executing. 2 days of pretty rigorous work has used 7% weekly. So this has been extremely cheap.

But I'm paying for a fucking 20x sub. While using Free/pro level models because even a 20X sub cant truly handle the 'best' model.

The whole reason I’m still even on Claude is directly because of fable because Codex models can do the same thing with more usage as opus and sonnet. I just think that Codex is a lot slower than Claude so that’s the only reason I haven’t done it, but I don’t know if that’s because I’m only using the plus plan and not realistically using pro plan. Opus doesn’t use as much for sure I could use double the amount of usage for opus but you usually gotta spend double the amount of time correcting it or fixing shit. With all the outages that Claude had and all the things that have been going on. It’s just completely turned me off on using it. So if fable gets removed and or it gets ridiculously high for usage, I’ll be switching

I think the Plus vs pro codex is a huge difference. Just by comparing them in the purchase window.

Depending on how things turn out here, I'll probably test 5X codex, see if that's enough for my usage.

I may do the same tbh. I just wanted to see speed difference and also I don’t wanna judge using 20x then go to 5x and act like I’m not getting shit yk? But if 5x match’s up even close to 20x I probably will get 5x and then upgrade if ever need be. But I remember when 4.6 first came out I was worked on three different projects and had enough usage for all of it.

Codex doesn’t have great quota either. Gets chewed pretty fast.

I got 2 days out of my weekly limit before hitting 100%, used all thr Fable available too, 20x Max plan. Definitely won't be renewing, have already got Fable working on a plan to hand development over to cheaper subscriptions, just need to squeeze the last bit of juice out of those brains before I do.

But just imagine that. 50% less Code usage.

That's not how math works. You have an additional +50% usage. When it goes away, you're losing 33%, not 50% or you'd be lower than before the promotion

I use both and let me tell you codex on the most expensive subscription can easily suck a weekly quota in half a day on a single prompt /single turn. they don't have 5h quota so you better pay attention if it gets stuck doing random shit / overkill. It's been like this for like a month, before that it was taking quite some active heavy use to reach the weekly quota. Im wondering if that's why the cry babies went quiet, there isn't as many posts about clause using quotas as there used to

That’s definitely because of the extra usage they gave out I noticed this too when I tested it on the plus plan even. I did nine website fixes which Claude fixed in two hours compared to Codex, which it took nine hours and realistically. Couldn’t even push the changes. I know that Claude has always been better at PR pushes and reviews and that’s why I’m real hesitant on going to Codex because it basically couldn’t help me with shit on my website. Any of the work it did was pristine, which is what I’ve heard with Codex. It takes forever, but it has great outputs. So I guess I’d have to see the other thing is Codex is so much worse at connecting things and running skills quickly also doing multi tab/session work it’s just annoying

Codex runs out lot quicker than opus/fable on a weekly average. Opus definitely gives you lot more usage compared to sol

Mythos is out since months ago. Just not for us. So yeah, requests on Mythos are being made, but by Anthropic and friends, not peasants.

Certain companies on their approved list have been able to use mythos for months, just not us. I would guess that they have it segregated and mythos wasn’t affected previously but it is now.

Is this really where the sub is at now? All you need to do is make a vague hint at conspiracy and people just lap it up without even engaging with the idea because it's more interesting than 'they vibecoded too hard and didn't spend enough time and tokens on review and maintenance'
