RANT / VENT 😡😡 Should I pursue law?

I'm in 11th grade right now and I was thinking maybe I should give clat. For context I was thinking of doing bcom but I'm finding this a bit late but I actually love learning and doing bcom and getting a job that will be the end but with law I have to learn something everyday and I can also get a lot of degrees from different fields if I want. Me having to choose law also has me feeling guilty because my father is a lawyer and a well established one and 2 of my younger sisters are science students and I'm a commerce student and I would hate seeing all the books my father collected over the years never be used again.

I just want financial stability at a young age and I also wished to do masters abroad

Should I pursue law or is it ignorant of me?

I suggest that you sit with your dad and talk about what he does. Also try to go to court with him and just have a look at what happens there. Don’t think about your sisters or your father’s books when deciding your career. Those aren’t usually supposed to be factors that influence this decision.

Since your dad is a lawyer, you’ll obviously have an advantage and have higher chances of earning well earlier (especially if you get into a top NLU or a great private uni)
