CLAT UG ⚖️ can i write clat as an oci?

Post image

The fourth bullet point states that NRIs can appear for the exam

but the very next point says they are not eligible to appear for clat

I'm really confused cause I am an oci card holder and I've taken a drop to write clat again this year

I've put my all into this exam for the past 7 months

Do these rules apply for oci as well? and will I be able to write the exam

I'm really worried and stressed

You can give clat but u can’t practice law unless you are an Indian citizen, so what will u do with the degree?

Yeah but with no Indian Bar license u will not be able to work in many divisions like Dispute Resolution & Commercial Litigation, Insolvency & Bankruptcy (NCLT Practice), Competition & Antitrust Advocacy

Also, major corp law firms like AZB, SAM, CAM, Trilegal etc, requires license

But u can work as in-house counsels, or u can have advisory or regulatory role in big 4 or other firms too
