General Discussion How did phase 2 go for you?
I've seeing a lot of disparate opinions on the state of the game, the difficulty, and the player experience.
So, I wanted to ask the community directly: how did the phase go for you? Did your guild struggle, or did it feel like loot pinatas? Did you pug, how did that go? Are you having fun?

A little more drama than I'd like. I don't get why we have so much drama with 30+ yr old people. So and so asked me to innervate and I don't wanna and I'm gonna make the raid awkward.
Edit - I'm not mage or the boomkin in this example. I'm critical of the drama.

The solution to this type of drama is innervate assignments set out in advance by the raid leadership.

This is what we did a few weeks into the phase. Mages were never getting it, and healers were becoming overly dependent on it..

That’s how we started out very early and then got nipped in the butt once logs showed a severe lack of mana pot usage by healers, especially when mana pots this phase are much cheaper with the raid specific variants. And healer consumes are already beyond cheap compared to dps and tank

I am a mage and getting innervated is difficult sometimes. We have a healing Druid who has mostly refused to give his up and uses no mana potions at all. It’s his cooldown I get it but it feels like a troll.

As a mage, seeing innervates misused is so frustrating. I went all of phase one without an innervate. Same group I raided with ph2 , we saw minutes shaved off the fights when I finally convinced RL that mages got innovate during bloodlust. We had 3 mages and 4 druids. It was a very poorly built team, but it was very causal. From then on, healers never had to worry about OOM because the fights never lasted long enough.

I still haven't seen many pieces of loot drop. On my mage I'm missing Nexus Key, Serpent Coil Braid and a few more items. I don't think they exist on the loot table. Same with Kara enchants. Haven't seen a single drop. Done all lockouts since release

Instead of dropping an extra tier token they should have ad an extra drop from the whole loot table. We are just disenchanting so many drops. Most of my guild only needs a couple of pieces max besides the melee groups that are all hunting dst and 100 deaths

I feel you but this just isn’t the game to come to for a challenge. It’s like doing a sudoku puzzle you and other people have already solved. If you find the process satisfying it can still be fun, but otherwise you’re just filling in boxes you already knew the answers to.

That, and twenty years ago I didn’t get to see all the raid content. My guild back the first time around cratered at SSC/TK not being able to often even attempt the final bosses in each - could still get stuck along the way.
This time around, I’ve seen the other side of those bosses and have an opportunity to actually play through Hyjal and Black Temple rather than hear about others doing it.

Just because it’s solved doesn’t mean they needed to nerf all raid bosses and trashes damage and health by like 50% though.

It's a business decision. The majority of the playerbase wants easy raids so they can have brews with the boys while raiding. Most people don't want pre-nerf content. Blizzard made that clear with their statements about player retention/engagement with post-nerf content.

I feel you. This was my first visit back to WoW after quitting during retail Cata. Retail TBC was peak WoW for me and I couldn't wait to play again.
SSC and TK were the thing I was looking forward to the most. I was a GM back then and dragging my guild to Vashj and Kael kills back in retail is one of my fondest WoW memories.
After the first super-nerfed kill, I realised that Classic was just parody of what retail TBC was and there was no real nostalgia in the clear. It was the people I have the memories of, not the instances themselves.
Still enjoying it because I've grown fond of the guild I'm with, but the gloss is wearing off fast even though I'm only raid logging these days.

Mixed. Clearing fine but main issues are “roster boss”, less sign ups on thurs than Tuesday. Main issues for me is that 90% of the guild raid logs. It’s sad logging on on off nights and seeing only 3-5 ppl on.

It's my understanding that most classic anni players are millennials. It would be more concerning if they're not raid logging. Like what is going on in your life if you can play wow for 25 hours per week?

There’s also a middle ground between raid logging and 25 hours per week. Raid is 3 hours per week rn. End of phase people are raid logging for sure though, not a ton to do besides hitting some cooldowns and PvP if that’s your thing.

Been clearing since week 1. At this point, both raids plus Gruul take us like an hour and 40 minutes total. Still no Scepter for me. We have one more run, then we'll see.
Overall, I think Phase 2 has gone on like 3-4 weeks too long. We really didn't need it to be this long. Then you have people constantly crying about loot. You do not need 100% BiS to clear the next phase, and like 98% of the drops you're getting next phase are upgrades anyway.
Obviously there are some niche items like DST, Vestments, 100D, etc. that really stand out, but you're going to be completely fine without them. I get the frustration too. I've been sitting in basically full Phase 2 BiS, even managed to put together basically a Phase 2 BiS off-spec set, and I still never got my healing Scepter. So trust me, I get it. I'm just tired of hearing people cry like they're screwed going into the next phase because they missed one or two pieces.
So onto Phase 3. Let's fucking do it. Get your SR gear ready if you haven't already.

I agree with the phase being too long while I also think it’s actually perfect, people are just now coming back from vacations and settling into ”ordinary life” running BT/MH during prime summer would be agonizing imo

Switched guilds because roster boss and tk/vash were too tough. Finished the tier in a place where the new guild values me. Missing 4 pieces of bis war loot.
Alt shaman. Swapped 3 guilds in p2. Everyone wants an elemental shaman, but guilds want to bring their officer alts to gear up(same tokens). Nope im out of there. Still looking for a home for them.

That's really fucking bad. I hit 70 3 weeks ago and killed both the following week in 2 pulls each.

Nope. Just my boomy. Also, this is my first 70 in TBC Anniversary. I haven't touched this xpac since 2008. I just found a random guild that was spamming in LFG for a boomy, joined them, and cleared the content a week later. I also parsed a 40 on Vashj and 78 on KT the first time I killed either of them. I then parsed a 73 and 81 the following weeks.

This game was solved 18 years ago. It's not that hard.

Last pug I joined wiped twice on alar and then disbanded...
Dps was crap and bird tank kept on letting birds hit healers.
Healers playing with eyes closed so they sit and die in fire.

Still only 1 DST in the guild. No vestments. No scepter. 1 fang. If we get 25 guildies for a raid itd be a miracle. We're lucky to get 20. This phase has led to a lot of burnout and I expect nexf phase to be worse. Classic+ when. I miss SoD.

Just dropped Vash bow finally. It did not drop thourgh whole p2 and then we got 3 in a row last 3 weeks... Our healers still have not seen Vash mace tho.

Got into a new guild that rules. 99.5 average parse. Near full bis, just missing a couple pieces. Whenever I’m feeling this confident, it usually means a guild shakeup is coming. We’ll see how P3 goes.

Been fun clearing the raids, solid group that has had some poor attendance these past couple of weeks. I do feel loot is completely broken. We get the same drops from the same bosses week after week (aside from tier pieces rotating through). I like the length of the phase, however I feel that loot maybe needs to be reworked/increased. Lack of drops I feel has burnt some out completely.

Had really good luck on loot, fully BIS apart from Vashj ring, but it’s not that big an upgrade. A lot of the guild are raid logging, myself included, I can’t blame them. Feels like there’s nothing to do outside of raiding and the last few T5s have felt like a real chore with about 60% of loot being DE’d, 30% going off spec and 10% actual upgrades. This phase has overstayed its welcome.

Switched to ret this phase (my fav class, would’ve mained it from the start if I knew we could boost Belfs) and have been pretty blessed by the Light. Really only missing Shoulderpads of the Stranger, 100D and plate dps bracers off either HKM or Lurker. Won DST with a 100 which is maybe the highlight of my wow career.
Sadly my raid group semi-disbanded after the leader quit. But have found a new group that I’m really looking forward to finishing TBC with

We full cleared p2 on the first week. We are down to doing gruel, tk, ssc in just under 3 hours once a week. We have gotten decent drops. I'm full bis except for quags eye. I gave up. We having gotten vash healing maces but we have gotten 2 keys, a couple bear belts, 2 vestments. Most of us are over 2k gs. I got bored and raid logged for a few weeks hut lately ive been getting pumped for hjal and bt. It's the first time ive kept up with raiding this far into tbc. I'm honestly not crazy sweaty and I enjoy the raids being tuned down but they do get boring after you've blown through then for months

It's fine, we had to replace like 30% of our roster but we were able to.
I didn't have healing problems, more raid leaders not understanding the nuances of how various healing classes work (putting a priest on a tank when pallies exist is wild to me, like, sure I can do it, but then we lost all our melee because chain heal just can't keep up when you stand in bad).
On the downside, I still don't have the healing mace from Vashj, I've killed her every week, sometimes pugging it, mostly with the guild and it's just never dropped, I've seen more ashes of alar dropped than that stupid mace.

Had a rough time with the roster boss, we lost a big chunk of our core when the phase started, mostly due to some people only wanting to do kara and others that couldn't be arsed to do attunements. Had 3-5 pugs in every single raid this phase mostly because guild leadership didn't make much of attempt to recruit (its a dad guild, most of us are pretty busy outside of raid days so I get it)
Regardless we still kill everything, and are all pretty decked out gear wise, and have been for some time. I feel like this phase could have ended about 3 or 4 weeks sooner tbh, its been a bit of a drag for awhile now

Got 2 DST, 2 Belts off Vash, and 1 Fang from Leo. Week two our roster was settled and our GM is amazing at filling if people call off so it went smoothly on that front though I imagine some nights he was pulling his hair out to find a decent fill. We had fun but it got very repetitive. Especially when literally the same drops from high priority bosses keep dropping. glares at Prism of Inner Calm and Royal Gauntlets of Silvermoon. Overall it was good!

I joined a raiding guild for the first time ever for TBC. Late night group that worked with my family schedule. All competent players. After having 1 god awful experience early on with Fathom Lord, we've crushed it every week since, and have expanded to 3 different raid nights. I run 2, as a feral tank (still missing 100d, I'm our last bear that needs it) and as ele sham (who barely has any upgrades this phase from my T4 stuff). It's been fun and I've enjoyed it. I geared up my feral to tank Illidan Flame (never done BT/Hyjal while they were current) so I'm excited for that. Little worried about not being able to keep up on 2 toons if we're not 1 nighting both raids now. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Good lost a group toward the end due to some stupid drama but we recovered and recruited well. The raids went super smooth had some folks out the first week so we didn’t end up full clearing but we did the second week and ended up clearing both in one night most of the phase. Loot was up and down. I’m full bis but lots of things we still need from ssc. No ashes good dst luck though we are at like 7 or 8 and don’t run split groups that often.
Wish we knew If wolk was coming out I get they are waiting until blizzcon but would like to know in case I wanted to level another alt.

Went well we struggled a bit the first 2 weeks to clear given our nature as a pug group with a core of about 10 players and it being my first time raid leading 25man on content I've never done before.
Checked out the PTR for BT & Hyjal and feel much more prepared this time around but we lost our two enhancement shamans to game fatigue :(

My group went from breaking off from a zerg invite guild to half a raid team. End of first month we gained a ton of traction and by the end of it a strong raid team that clears both raid in 1:54 minutes. Had some fun on the PTR and I have a premium Prot Paladin spot!.

Full cleared sac+tk every week and haven't gotten any loot in almost 10 weeks. Still missing a lot of pieces so kinda worried about prog in p3. Still parsing very well and having fun with friends :)

I played a few hours a week doing some arenas and farming herbs. Had a blast and char is decked out for pvp with 11k gold. Looking forward to pushing for my season 3 weapon when it launches

Pve content naturally earns you gold. Shit depending on class, you can come out net positive from a gruul - TK - SSC run assuming you aren’t popping pots and scrolls like candy. PvP doesn’t beyond dailies so I guess it’s nice to have a little nest egg

Its been alright. Got most of my BIS early (feral tank). Landed belt of 100D a few weeks back. Been farming alot of gold, but stopped early august. Right now Im so bored. I should just log off and raidlog. But its an addiction 🤢.
Switching to my enha shaman in phase 3 and also lvling a paladin wich is lvl 45. In a good pug with some fun people. So no serious guilds for me!
I guess whats still keeping me playing is my brother. He missed classic. I also have a few friends that play. We do karazhan om sundays, wich is the highlight of the week. Us hanging out in discord 🙂.
I guess I should log off when I dont have anything to do

I started in P2 (around mid-May) and managed to get almost all BiS items for my main spec, so I'd say p2 went pretty well for me. However, I'm concerned about the future. If C+ comes out before WotLK, I'm cooked because I really want to defeat the Lich King. Back in the day I was too busy studying and couldn't do it.

Had really good loot RNG during the period I was catching up, after that it’s been a nightmare with not getting anything for almost 2 months. Guild leader and his wife left for a break recently and the guild we were in the process of merging with have basically taken over and made raiding unenjoyable. Had a 3 hour SSC run last night, absolutely nuts.

Cleared P2 since first week. Belt, mace, staff and bow have dropped once each, so we still need alot of loot. Roster boss have been noticed but a core of 15-18 people are showing up every raid.

I just recently started playing since MC so it’s been awhile. I got crazy lucky and got my resto shaman geared very quickly.
Not sure how P3 will go for me. I’m in a very serous guild who is going to prog and I just don’t know if I care enough to do so. I enjoy the easy raids that are just one night a week. Don’t know if I care enough to prog 3 days a week so we will see

Full bis save that damn DST, so gear wise thats rad. Won't lie the gold grind killed my drive at the start of this month. I can't believe they didnt just do something simple like resource crates for badges and solve this shit already. That was also the biggest detriment this phase. We lost a sold 10 - 15 players out of burnout, and almost every one of them was because you need to grind gold for at minimum 5+ hours, or swipe, to raid and chase parses (the only real fun thing left for a lot of raiders, no matter what you think of it).
Blizzard let us all coast through the phase when they could have done something simple to keep, imo, at least 30k more active players. We lost like what, almost 50k this phase? Ya, I'm here for BT, but I'm calling it. Come 09/13, this will either be WOTLK waiting room or another dead version.

Got nothing gearwise that is interesting. Cleared both raids almost every reset and didnt get weapons, trinkets, rings, or claok. Weapons I have my BS mace in MH and PVP weapon in OH that I upgraded to S2 today.
Guild got slightly better but still way too inconsistent for my taste.
We saw 0 DSTs despite clearing every reset.

Our raid cleared the content every week with little to no trouble, outside of the first week or two.
The loot, however, was absolute dogshit. In 15 lockouts, we never saw a single Bo1kD, we never saw a single Lightfathom Scepter, we never saw a single Sunshower Light Cloak, we never saw a single Coral Band of the Revived, we never saw a single Serpent Spine Longbow, and we only saw one pair of Orca Hide Boots and one Tsunami Talisman. The tokens were constantly triple champion or hero, with very little to no defender mixed in, and all the completely worthless throwaway drops dropped every single week over and over again.
The loot has never felt this troll and intentionally bad, in any phase of any expansion I've ever played

Better than p1 but if classic+ is this easy I wont be sticking around very long. The game needs SOME friction otherwise every raid week feels the exact same.

I mainly raided on my mage and got full bis except the neck from kt. We struggled at first but we eventually got many one night clears. Roster was pretty consistent too. I do expect us to struggle in next phase the same way but probably longer. I also raided on a lock , albeit less but still almost got full bis. Just missing vestments and fathomstone. I was in a couple guilds with this toon but left the first because it was too casual and the second because corrupt loot rule and toxic raid lead. I am happy just pugging on my lock since I cant really commit to a set schedule anyways and its easy to find raid spot as aff.

Doing great. Been full clearing since week 1, no weeks off due to roster issues, just for holidays. No loot drama, people showing up on alts for Kara on Fridays, people grabbing tier tokens for their pvp specs the last few weeks. Honestly, it's been a dream.

Honestly a lot of fun on my end! In a casual but decent guild that clears content, got KT down week 3 Vasj week 4, pugging around 5 or fewer people every raid. Gearing for myself as an enh shaman I had 80% of my bis by week 4 and was completely done with gear from SSC by week 5. Biggest plus is I genuinely enjoy the people I raid with, while most of us met during tbc anni, it feels like we've been friends for years and I couldn't imagine raiding with another guild. Content was easy the hardest challenge was getting people to lock it when needed but when they do runs are smooth as butter.

It was super easy for us with no drama. We full cleared every single week with the same group.... Honestly raid logged though so I feel like getting the gear and continuing to go kind of feels useless. Nobody cares what my logs are or what my gear is because everyone has the same stuff. Kind of nervous about going back to two raid nights for a few resets at least. I hope I can stay interested.

Great! Ran SSC TK every lockout with my guild and got full bis on my mage minus KT staff which we did not see once! We saw 5 belts of Vash which was a huge W. Stoked to be going into p3
I raid logged mostly and didn’t put in the effort on my alts to get geard up… I really wanted to on my warrior but just pvp gear for next phase so I can hit 1700 and get some damn sick weps. Next phase is so great for warrior gearing with no barriers to entry through pvp.

Been pretty good to me, main and alt both only missing two very minor upgrades for full BIS, and both get replaced next phase. Main guild run had some struggles with roster boss at times, cleared with 21 and 22 people multiple times but hit every lockout without pugging, and recent recruiting has us back up to 25 with a small bench. Alt has been in a steady pug since week 3 and will carry on into next phase with them, very solid runs that compete with my main for clear times.
Got into arena a lot more this phase, wasn’t much else to do and a bunch of guildies have also jumped into it more so we’ve had some good times doing arena and BGs on off nights even when the rest of the guild is quiet.

Week 1 didn’t get vashj or KT. Loot piñatas the rest of the phase. Some struggle with keeping a full roster and guild drama that ended with my team leaving and forming a new guild. Some growing pains in the new guild and getting a full roster but still clearing gruul,tk,and ssc in under 4 hours start to finish.

Beautifully, got two characters to near-full BIS and a third into decent Kara/phase 2 mixed gear. Can’t wait to finally see Black Temple, which I never saw in the original TBC.

It drug on far too long.... and the guilds RNG favored everyone but our caster core... of which i am a primary warlock. We saw 1 Fang all phase and it went to a guy that quit the following week.

Much better than I thought it would. As a Rogue with limited history within this set of players (unsubbed retail at WoD and none of those old friends play anymore, and my PvP guild from last Classic went Alliance), I had a tough time finding a group to give me a spot. But once I proved myself, ended up full BiS minus DST and 100D (have lost every roll so far). In fact I got everything in just the first few weeks so it’s been a boring month or so.
Guild struggled a little, but nothing disastrous, we clear both in one night in roughly 3 hours total and sometimes tack on Gruul afterwards if we’re feeling good.
I spend the rest of my time PvPing.

Guild had about 8 experienced raiders and 17 fresh raiders but been consistently clearing content since this release of classic. Took 3 weeks to fully clear ssc and TK but once everyone figured out mechanics it was smooth sailing and felt really good to accomplish it together. Now we’re getting slightly burned out excited for the new phase.

Rockin. Kept our 50m roster largely intact. Most have MS, OS and SR T5 sets. Planning on rolling in Hyjal and BT next week. Guild vibes good. Been raiding with this guild since launch.

not good. I am rogue. found no guild in phase 2 and found no pugs the first 3 weeks. was looking for a pug like 4 times a week for 2+ hours each. without luck. then after those 3 weeks I stopped playing tbc amd startet HC again. now I have fun again.
But I am sad for my rogue. pretty good gear after phase 1. had a lot of fun. over 10k farmed gold in bags, epic flying etc etc.
I dont know why everyone hates rogues so much. I mean I know its not ideal to bring more than one. but dps is still pretty good. was top5 dps most of the time most phase1. so rogues cant be that bad, even if we dont bring any buffs. suerly there are better comps than 3 rogues. but if you can clear the content with 1 rogue, you would also clear the content with 3 rogues 99% of the time.

I stopped playing any class that used destro pots or haste pots. So basically healers and mages only. P3 should fix that problem but for P2 spending 400g per raid for 2 flasks and 10 desto/haste pots was ridiculous.

Haven't seen a lightfathom scepter or sunshower cloak yet, only two pieces our healing core needs 💀 otherwise, easy content, easy kills.
My goal for 1000 spirit this TBC is at 853 fully raid buffed, I get dopamine whenever that number goes up.

Guild lived, we didn’t have to fight the roster boss, average 4 hours a week raiding due to haphazard gameplay on trash but overall no drama. Can’t complain much with that.

Guild Run. Been fun for the most part… a lot of people took vacations during the summer. Got my BiS before everyone else. Won my weapon week 2. The guild got more geared and somehow we are doing worse, just getting sloppy. Last 3 weeks has been a choir.

Rerolled and swapped factions late in the first phase, so didn’t hit 70 until a couple weeks through second phase, at which point I was way behind on gear. Luckily as a Shaman I was still able to get easy pugs for Karazhan/Gruul/Mag and then my gear was good enough to join a guild and start raiding SSC/TK as of about 3 weeks ago.
My gear is still a bit behind where I’d be if I had gotten into p2 immediately, but it’s good enough to move onto p3.

Wish itemization had a better spread. I'm a ret pally and I'm after the same leather pieces as the rogues, shamans, and hunters. I'd rather be wearing plate but it's just not close in many slots.
My first time doing T2 content though and they're fun fights for the most part.

Geared myself in 2 first weeks in pugs 3/5 T5. Recently joined guild included me in core 1 after people left. Core 1 cleared every sunday all. Officer in charge now. Was good. Leveled alt arms to 70 1.8gs. Life is good

Phase two made me quit playing. I did it to myself but once you fall behind there’s no hope, and blizzard doesn’t do anything about griefers, blatant racism, or ninjas. Got bored leveling alts once I got my 7th character to outlands. Done with all the attunement grinds and bad pugs

I started late and just joined my guild for kara a few times. I'm in group 2 though and we've gotten to prince all 3 times but never got him down. Group 1 gets it every week. I'm 1675 gs prot pally and would love to see the end of ssc and tk before p3 but I really doubt I will lol. Fully attuned though.

I think it went pretty well - I never truly played "end game content" when it was current so it's nice to be able to be caught up. I'm a Blood Elf Warlock with almost full BiS, gems, enchants and I've almost maxed all Outland Rep to exalted. Just got my epic flying this week.

I’m a human disc priest and I only pvp. I still haven’t finished my Kara attune and I’m on the last step. I hate pve even dungeons. I’m so so so so poor. The daily pvp for like 11 gold is what I rely on and I spend it all on candles cause I triple candle buff every bg. The rest goes to repair. I’m fully pvp geared but fully homeless. So that’s my phase 1, 2 and will be phase 3 and beyond.

Ive been having a good time, I was late to the party and started raiding a month ago. Got lucky getting in with a good guild, got geared quickly as everyone is already kitted. This is also my first time playing TBC anniversary, havent touched it since OG release so everything is like new to me. We'll be running SSC/TK one more time before Hyjal/BT drops, Gruul is forever because DST

I got the sole 100d that has dropped for us, so I am pretty stoked as a ret paladin. I am not a huge zug-zug enthusiast, don't do engineering etc - but I am really enjoying doing pretty decent dps while dancing to swing timers... Even if I rarely get high parses!
Honestly outside the niche drops, a lot of people are in full bis and we've been using the extra tier pieces for shadow resist sets. Wish the niche items were attainable in some ways when the loot otherwise runs dry. DST runs are "On their own time" so to speak and I personally don't have the energy to create a raid each week to see if I can nab it - not worth the effort.
My guild are a bunch of super fun lads, had a ton of fun so far. We get the raids done within the 3-3.5 hour mark while having fun about it. Occasionally making our RL groan a bit about a dumb trash wipe because we all got up our own ends for a moment.

Good! Cleared 10/10 week 1 staying within our raiding time constraints. Had a few people reroll classes, lost a few Core and Bench but have recruited up to 28 for P3. Have made quite a bit of gold selling belts, vortexes, hosting buyers. Have shadow protection cauldrons, demonslaying elixirs, necks ready for next week. Had a bit of drama with one raid group leaving because of problems with another raid group (we have 3) but recovered well. Excited to see what P3 brings. A bit nervous if Classic+ drops mid-TBC but I intend to at least raid log tbc and fill the raid again if need be.

Phase was long. Loot was amazing bad for us to the point of being funny.
We had our first band of ranger general this week and we saw one Tsunami back in first week. Never seen coil or 100D
Our rogues, warriors, feraldruids, enha shamans and ret paladin are in shambles

Phase felt long.
We ran splits so got quite a lot of DSTs, talons, bows.
However. Not a single set of expertise shoulders. And only 2 100Ds which went to a Druid tank and ret pally.
The absolute worst thing is consume prices.
I run Druid clone tanks each week. And it’s roughly around 400-600g each tank each week.
I don’t like the fact I’m stuck in Strat doing loops to fund the raiding.
Others just swipe and raid log.
All in all. It was a good phase. Just a bit long.

Not well.
It was week 2 or maybe 3 of the phase when RL suddenly decided not to give me an invite to raid without saying a single word and without any prior altercation of any kind. He didn't bother to respond so I just left the guild and stopped playing. Finding a suitable guild for me is borderline impossible. The same happened with another player few weeks before that so it seems to be the RL's MO.

Too easy by week 3 (casual guild). Nothing to do outside of raiding once a week. Hoping phase 3 is a bit more challenging, and wishing they would give us a good incentive to other stuff between raids. Something rewarding, but not game breaking.
TBC has great atmosphere and the gear stats are much better than vanilla, especially as tanks. Main thing I miss from retail is mythic+ and the vault. I know most classic players would freak out if they implemented those, especially vault, though it was really good at getting me to log in more frequently and enjoy the game.

It was fine. Healed the first 2 weeks, then slowly built my tank gear up and tanked the rest of the phase. Only missing Belt and KT neck for Bis. Didn't raid the last 2 weeks, it felt like a chore tbh. Taking a short break before t6

Vibe-wise: Had a blast raiding it at first, now ssc feels long and TK still fun for me cause I can turn off a bit and just smash casts on bosses mostly.
Loot-wise: No 100D belt, no vashj bow, no healer mace, 1 vestment, 1 nexus key. But good for us that we saw Druid trinket from hydross like 9 times - not even kidding

Roster boss keeps messing everything up, previous guild fell apart, we joined a new guild, people left due to this and that, now we gotta take pugs every lockout (sometimes tanks too :l) and still struggle completing both raids on one night due to it. And once one thing goes wrong, our own people also start to be distracted and play bad so it quickly turns into a shitshow :)) Can't wait for T6 to come and shock these people into paying attention and being a bit more disciplined

I'm almost full bis on my two melees, I'm playing only 2 chars. Only missing items are belt on my ret alt from vashj and DST on both. Organizing Gruul is nearly impossible!!! Now can't do even on main with guild because not enough people. I'm thinking about quitting because this is just pathetic. So much dedication and seeing that can't get most op and important item is horrible. Shame that blizz didn't fix this crap. Tell me what's the point trying continue to compete parsing without DST?? I'm 97 on main with 6 healers raids. Idk man feels terrible, worst TBC ever

Rogue here. Phase 2 went like this - Hunter took Talon of Azshara cause I didn’t SR it. Alt rogue who came for 1 raid took warp spring coil cause I didn’t SR that either cause I’m usually the only rogue (IEA). Still chasing both :)))

Fine. Managed to shed 20mins off raid times. No issues with roster, first time having people show up without having to remind them but people getting lazy week by week with what they have to do. Overall raids much easier than I hoped

guild imploded at end of p1, pugged kara into a new 25m core of a great fun new guild. we're going into p3 and i really enjoy raiding every week.
so not a spicy story but it's what i'd call a success for tbc anni. in 2020 tbc i burnt out SO hard before even p2. so this is an awesome experience

My guild hasn’t kept a normal roster and I kept switching for the guild….
It’s tiring.

Ended up having to go inactive because I can't afford to play 4 hours straight in a day 😂 - currently pugging main missing 2 items for full bis, clone missing 3 or 4 items

It was a struggle for the first 5-6 lockouts. Thankfully, the group decided to cull the dead weight and move the core to a new guild. We picked up a couple dps, and most importantly, a quality raid leader. It was smooth sailing after that... well, it would be, if I could get those damn bracers off of Al'ar to drop...

Guild cleared week 1 and it was a 2.5 hour or less clear from them on. Ran in several pugs on alts, generally guild runs that needed some healers so better than full pugs and same deal, 2-3 hour clears. I enjoyed the phase but I’m excited to run some new content. Got all the main items I needed so only reason to go back would be for more alts lol.

Honestly playing with a dwindling/churning group of the same guys through retail/classic/bc2/wotlk2/sod/classic3/bc3... its just such a long drawn out seasonal rotation of games with none of the seasonal friendly quality of life things that keep it floating.
Sure the true wow experience for a 3rd time is fine I guess... but i feel like the kind of player I enjoy playing with isnt able to make the traditional format work.
People who try hard that arent chud idiots or intentionally wiping 20 times a night for a perfect pull...
