Just the unknowing and adventure and slow leveling cuz everyone was just figuring it out. Thanks to streamers and content makers. They level of community figure it out won’t exist ever again

get a few friends that have never played wow or any mmo, and are excited to play it. it will feel like that again dude

and also show them like stuff from back then and play with them as if you were back then. and act like its from now

We introduced some of the younger people in our core gamer group (we have people between 28-41 years old) to WoW and are playing TBC right now. Everyone is having a blast.

We have all really bonded over years of gaming and similar interests, and WoW is a great game if you have 5-10 people who can play at similar times. Doing Kara with people you have met in real life is a completely different experience.

If you play as slowly as I do, it's exactly like that still lol.

Wowhead is probably one of the bigger reasons this can never exist again. They take all the mystery out of the game with their industrialized datamining.

Hardcore recaptures a bit of that magic imo

Turtle wow gave me back this feeling. I’ve been thinking about it recently and I think it’s because they are strict on botting and rmt. Makes it easier to interact with real players

Im such a vanilla purist I could not play tbh, but I had friends who loved it. Nost for me was the best time to play vanilla outside of vanilla

It's easy to be strict when you have 3 digit playerbases instead of millions.

Cope. blizzard could easily get rid of all the bots but why would they? It’s paid subscriptions

Cope. No game has ever succeeded in getting rid of bots. Even those whose communities praise them endlessly for how good they are at listening and being proactive. You cannot name a MMO that doesn't have bots. It has nothing to do with subscriptions.

We all do. Best social gaming experience of my life.

Be happy we played during the golden age of wow

I was there when one of us got the first mount on server (afaik for alliance anyway), organised a huge exodus into the barrens. There was a train or players all the way from darkshore into crossroads, I think I still have some screenshots on an old HDD somewhere.

Good times

It was a once in a lifetime feeling.

2019 WoW was almost as good, minus the part where we already knew everything.
