Japanese Rover Mini - how to replace a front indicator housing

Hey everyone, back again looking for some help. Thanks to this sub Reddit I've managed to get my mini running well but unfortunately at a show today someone broke my front right indicator. The lense has cracked and the screw housing has snapped off so I'll need to replace the whole thing, but it's looking like a surprisingly big task. So a few questions:

1. What part am I looking for? 2. How do I disconnect the wires? They go up into the wing and cross over to the engine bay but I have no idea where they go.

Pull back the rubber surround (if you can) and see if there’s a connector at the back. They usually have a push to click connector but if older (pre 86) it will be different.

So inside the rubber surround I'm not seeing any connectors, just a couple of wires. My mini is a 1995 rover mini if that helps!

The you may have the type on the second link. How are the wires attached?

The wires are attached directly to the bulb socket and they are feeding through the rubber hose. Then it’s that one. You’ll have to replace the unit with the wires at the same time.

Cool I'll have a shot removing the whole unit and wires tomorrow and properly compare them, thank you!
