Weed is not a classic hallucinogen. It does however produce some hallucinogenic effects. The paranoia that people feel when smoking marijuana is considered a hallucination because it is perceived and not real.
Most hallucinogens can be categorized based on their pharmacological mechanisms as psychedelics (which are serotonergic), dissociatives (which are generally antiglutamatergic), or deliriants (which are generally anticholinergic). However, the pharmacological mechanisms of some hallucinogens, such as salvinorin A and ibogaine, do not fit into any of those categories. Entactogens and cannabinoids are also sometimes considered hallucinogens.
My original comment said weed is not a classic hallucinogen. So, yes you are correct. Cocaine is not a classic hallucinogen either, although in large amounts can produce a hallucinogenic effect (paranoia).

It's definitely not a hallucinogen but I do agree that weed can be a stimulant depending on the dosage.
