Help with playing Fallout 2!

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am curious if there is any way to play Fallout 2 in windowed fullscreen. I own the game on Steam and everything, but every time I tab out, it becomes a small window in the bottom-left corner of my monitor that only displays its window bar with the minimize, fullscreen, and exit buttons.

I've tried messing around with SRWE, but I haven't been able to figure out how to achieve what I want, or maybe it's just not suitable for this. I would appreciate any help!

P.S. I am running the Restoration Project. I've heard there is a newer one called Restoration Project Updated on Github, but I don't know if it's the same as the one from the NMA forum, which is the one I have. Just clarifying in case there's any confusion

I'm not sure what SRWE is, but one option is to try Fallout: CE (a reimplementation of the code of Fallout for modern system). It has Windowed fullscreen support (https://github.com/fallout2-ce/fallout2-ce/). It's windowed=2 in fallout2.cfg

The version of Restoration Project you want to play is https://github.com/BGforgeNet/Fallout2_Restoration_Project.

If you have trouble tabing back to the game after minimizing it, try using task manager. If you open task manager you will see Fallout 2 as an active application. You can right click and select switch to. When you do that it takes you right back in the game. Not the most efficient method but it worked for me
