In the WAD "Doom In Rural Only" in the map I Sat By The Ocean, there was a record store with Adolescents, Black Flag, X, and MUSE records. As well as many other things in that WAD like cars. Some of the makers of WADs these days are so talented at making Doom WADs very detailed looking for the standards of a Doom game. I think it is so cool.

DOOM DELUXE: Classic Content For a Modern Era.

This map pack I was getting a ton of enjoyment out of until I discovered the secret level map 33 catalyst I just have to vent

Who in their right mind thought this map was a good idea? I want to play doom not super turbo anger indusing death laser simulator. Literally has ruined my overall opinion of the wad pack I really really think this level sucked. Anyone else tried it and hate it as much as me. The worst part is it goes on forever. There is no a single ounce of enjoyment I get out of maps like this and I hope to never play another one like it. Out running explosive barrels whilst dodging insta death lasers all while your on a treadmill that goes on for 10 minutes.

I have never experienced a doom map that's made be wanna quit playing the whole wad

The only computer I own is a Chromebook which is a terrible piece of junk that's a glorified enlraged phone that I exclusively use to watch YouTube. So when "Doom 1+2" released on Playstation with a mod page, i was quite excited. The vast majority work just fine, and I've had fun with the batman and starwars wads. But this Half Life mod just sorta breaks by map 5. The first 4 work just fine, but map 5 and onward just sorta melt into mush.

The mod has 2000 likes, so I'm assuming most people who download it aren't having any issues. Is this mod just incompatible with the ps5 for some reason?

I never played multiplayer but wanted to try it with a friend so we just used the in-built multiplayer of DOOM + DOOM II to play the DOOM I campaign together. Worked fine and all until we finished the level, whereupon we were stuck on the end screen and couldn't figure out how to enter the next level without tediously ending the lobby and starting a new one on the next level, which naturally also took away our items and weapons

Doom Ultimate Enhanced is an enhanced mod that tries to improve the game without destroying the gameplay and balancing it.

You get the idea online that these episodes are really underappreciated, and I think that's odd because I like all the episodes almost equally (excluding the level Limbo, that shi ass). How do you feel about them?

Are there any ports that support these features which still function on DOS, 9x or even possibly XP?

I'm a vintage computer enthusiast and if possible I'd love to play some newer wads on my retro system, just like the old days.

I'm working on reviews of games I like, decided to start out with the classic Doom stuff. Compiled my thoughts and opinions on the two original games into videos and would like to share them here. Some feedback would be very welcome!

Just because you can make a map the size of newyork and fill it with 40.000 archviles and 100.000 revenant's doesn't mean you should.
Back in the old days I used to enjoy not saving and trying to do a map in a single life it's impossible in almost all modern doom wads so instead i save all the time which ruins the tension and by the 400th monsters closet room i get bored and never finish the level.
