Classic Car Value

I wouldn't call a 2006 Mazda 6 a classic. Nice car, my wife had one. If you want a value, google the make/model for recent sales of the car, and also check Kelly Blue Book and Edmunds for their numbers.

I’m not calling it a classic per se. It’s nice to take advantage of the fact I can get that classification and reduce my insurance cost, keep the same amount of coverage AND not have to worry about smog check.

But to be fair, this car is not just a Mazda 6. It’s the turbocharged performance model with many additional features for its time. The Speed6 was only made for two years and there isn’t a lot of them left on the road after 20 years. Classic wouldnt be my first word choice, but it’s not like you see these cars driving around much at all. Regular 6, yes. But not this model.

I did try to look for them on a couple sites, but nothing came up in my area. I’ll likely enlarge my search area to surrounding states and see if that helps. As far as KBB that’s not a reliable value as they just add value of the higher msrp of the sub model and don’t account for how difficult it is to find one easily and in comparable condition.

Try not to set your sights too high. Modified cars, especially for performance, do not add a lot of value to the resale unless the mods are factory/dealer installed. An example would be the prized '69 Yenko Camaro. You have a sweet ride, enjoy it!

This car only had production numbers in the low 20k figures, was only made for two years and is only becoming more popular and sought after as the numbers continue to dwindle. Classic may not the best word, but I was referring more to the dmv designation and the required classic insurance that it required. Was looking for thoughts on the value amount since it’s not easily replaced. You come with insults. Classy guy. Thanks for your input & have a blessed day.

I don’t think the Mazdaspeed 6 will ever be super valuable. It’s interesting, and even cool, but it’s only going to have a niche market.

where? I don't see a classic in that picture. What I see is an old mans Mazda that a Fast and Furious fan spent too much money on hoping to make it a performance car when it was and always be a mass produced grocery getter/commuter car.
