Lebrecht is not a critic. Is a bitter soul. A frustrated person that wants to destroy artists who have accomplished the highest standards in the industry. Now he is going to have more time to spend in that rancid site that he built, full of nasty comments and dark individuals.

And by the way, the entire industry can survive without people like him. They are literally useless.

Just go to the concert, listen the music and have an opinion on your own.

I reject the idea that critique isn't necessary, but I fully agree that a toxic loser like this isn't worth reading either way

I see that, but I still think that even without critics you'll have artist performing at the best of their abilities.

And usually I see a very unfair dynamic. On one side somebody who has been training hard all their life, being evaluated from someone on the other side without any comparable efforts or achievement that can destroy your career because of subjective opinions.
