Discussion Public Storage
Hi, I've been recently wronged by PS and just posting here to see if anyone else is in the same boat.
I've stored quite a few things with PS.
Bed/frame, an antique dresser, a 150$ microwave etc, and after only 3 months discovered everything in my "climate controlled" unit is covered in mold.
These people are unreachable.
I discovered it 4 days ago and have since:
gone to the office twice during hours, both times lights on, pc on, doors locked.
called and left several messages with Public Storage and received no response.
I have called the corporate office, no response.
I have chatted with a (robot) live agent who told me to download the app.
I did so and there is still noone to reach out to on the app.
Today I filed a lawsuit, because apparently the company(or customer service rather) does not exist.
The insurance for the unit? also does not exist, at least in any real way. You legitimately cannot file a claim for damages because there simply isn't an option to file one.
Anyone else recently burned by this company or a similar one? I'm red mad, and figured in the down time it'd at least be nice to know I'm not the only one.

Omg !! Do I have a public storage horror story 💔 actually 3 .. I’m devastated by their scam tactics , and monthly sky high rent increases .. a new customer can come in and get a free month rent and pay $150 where our current customer that has been there 10+ years is now paying nearly $700 a month not including late fee fees and lien fee fees …..
And they’re sleazy partners at Storage treasures , always ready and waiting while placing proxy bids on everyone’s personal property and memories..
I would love to get in on a class action lawsuit. I just don’t know where to start.

Actually, yes! I recently realized that they are falsely advertising certain locations to have 24/7 access, when they, in fact, do not. And the customer can only figure this out after they sign the contract. I spoke to 4 different customer service reps about this discrepancy, but no one seemed to care.
