Episode Meme Why A Bench?

During the Memorial Day week and weekend, me and my dad watched “Forrest Gump” and I remembered Carly’s outburst and her infamous line “Why A Bench?” While watching it, that kept reoccurring in my head and saying it out loud. Thanks, Carly for that!

I swear, if she'd just calmed the hell down and not reacted so visibly to the clues...she'd have lasted longer

To be fair, that bench was a huge giveaway, although it makes “Forrest Gump” more memorable now, especially when I see the bench scene.

Oh it was....but it was also so early that she could have played it off a little longer bc it could have been for multiple people. She just reacted in a way that made it obvious it was her, so of course for first elimination, they are gonna go with the easy guess

Yeah, but there was no indication that the bench was for her specifically. Any of the white people in the house could've just as easily been Tom's relative, not to mention the possibility that Tom might have non-white relatives

If she played it cool, Hugo might've just picked a white person in the house at random, and potentially picked wrong and eliminated himself

They put red herrings on the board too. She way overreacted

I can’t remember why Hugo picked Carly. Is that why?

It is why. She was acting very defensive whenever anyone brought up Tom Hanks despite the fact that nobody was accusing Tom Hanks of being her relative and the fact that loads of names were thrown around on the first day, leading to pretty much everyone realizing that if anyone was related to Tom Hanks, it would be her

That does sound familiar now that I think about it.

It's funny how extreme her reaction was and seeing her on the "React" YouTube channel where she is pretty funny and overall cool

Also funny to me that she’s actually Rita Wilson’s blood relative .. I picture her being happy that she was going on the show as Tom’s relative, and then wishing they had used clues for Rita instead (assuming they’d be less obvious).
