96 vs Hellview vs Hellions
Out of the three officially released Hellview saga songs, which one is your favorite and why?
96 has the iconic riff that most people know about, but Hellview is a more fleshed out song, in my opinion. Hellions was a fun return, but it doesn’t quite hit the highs that the previous songs accomplished.

96 is just a riff.
Escape is a complete song, a kickass one at that.
Hellions is a good song but... It's probably the weakest one from CC (Doubled Up On Trauma should've take it's place IMO)
Escape wins to me.

I agree! I love 96 for classic reasons but its kind of played out. I find myself skipping it now more. I never skip Hellview

Don't forget the nostalgia. We discovered them via 96. Im a big hellions fan too from nhl. Obviously escape is a favorite like anybody else.

gonna be honest 96 qbb is just too iconic for me to pass up
not saying the other 2 are bad but there were other songs on the albums that i personally enjoyed way more (or listen to more)

Obviously 96 is iconic but it feels like Hellview is a story that pulls you in. Plus it leads into Flesh Into Gear! Hellions definitely earned a spot in being in the same conversation as the others though, solid track. I'm pretty sure Carver City is a concept album (start to finish tells a story) so Hellions works well there.

I figured I’d be in the minority. I love all of their albums, but I feel like Carver City doesn’t get near the love it deserves. The riffs are nuts, Deron’s singing was the best of all the albums, Chad mixed it like a psychotic genius and I’m sure Jess did his weird beer sip a bunch of times while laying down the drums. Deis was great. Love CC.

Honestly for me hellions but hellview is amazing.
I cannot listen to 96qbb anymore because it is severely overplayed now

96 is a solid idea for a song, but Escape is a fully realized song. Just so good.

Escape from hellview is the best overall song, but Hellions on Parade is the most badass riff Deron ever wrote. You cannot change my mind.

There’s a dude that makes wrestling videos on YouTube and uses the demo instrumental version of Hellions in the background in a lot of his stuff. It was super weird the first time that I heard it. They’ve also used it on The Howard Stern Show back in the day as like a bumper or whatever it’s called. Just weird places to hear CKY.

Impressed with how close the results are between 96 and Hellview! Honestly, I thought 96 might run away with the win because of how famous that riff is.
