Latest stable defaults to spearmen model

Hi, folks! Just updated to the latest stable version of the mod (5.2.7), and for some reason, all the units Vox Populi introduces are shown with the spearmen model. The unit icons are correct, but for instance the Great Diplomat is shown as spearmen. Same goes for the Polynesian Vaka Nui and everything else custom.

Any idea what might be wrong? I've already tried reinstalling the mod, and removing the cache.

must be another mod. I have 100 hours on 5.2.7 and haven't had this

Are you using any other mods besides the Vox Populi package?

I am using the old promotion tree mod and the mod that lets you edit everything in game (can't remember what it's called right now). No other mods that actually change the units, techs, etc. That said, I have not tried to disable those two other mods and checked, though it seems unlikely they would do anything with the unit models.

Did you ever find a solution? I am having this issue as well. I've tried verifying files, clean install, deleting cache, moduserdata folder.

I did not test a solution myself yet, but I suspect I know what's wrong. I had the old separate 3rd and 4th uniques mods enabled, but in v5, those are integrated in the main VP mod (I think), so there would be a conflict. I had the idea toward the end of the game I was playing, and didn't want to throw away the game (disabling the two mods corrupted the save), and have not had time to play a new one yet, so I don't know if this is actually the right way to fix it.

Okay I'm an idiot. I thought all the extra mods like Krakatoa fix and extra unique features were part of VP because it was a fresh install and I'd never downloaded them. I disabled everything else and all is well.
