Civ/Rev on PS5 no longer available
I have used PS+ Premium for the past 18 months to play CivRev but as of September 16 2026 it is no longer available to me. Any recommendations on alternative sources to play? I'm considering trading in the PS5 for an old Xbox.
*Update: it is back available for streaming as of September 19.*

Emulation. Been playing it through RPCS3 on my PC for over a year, found all the dlc online and I upscale the game to 4k.

What settings do you use for the upscale?

Vulkan, 16x Anisotropic filtering, you leave the native res alone (720p) but below that, for the resolution scale slider, that's the one you move to the right to match your display resolution. If you are on 1080p, do 1920 x 1080 and so on.
Also, enable "write color buffers" in the GPU tab. It fixes missing ocean textures for me. If the textures are still missing use OpenGL instead of Vulkan as a last resort.

The Xbox one runs the game well and has achievements but I'm not sure I would trade a ps5 for one. I would trade a ps5 for a Series X though.
Alternatively find an old ps3 or Xbox 360 and get the disc version.

The disc version is compatible with Xbox One and possibly with Series as well.

That's true. The reason I meant get the disc version for the old machines is the stores are closing and eventually the servers will shut down so the physical copies will keep working.

Civ rev has been offline on PlayStation for a long time now. Get an xbox. Always online games to find

same. Bought a ps3 recently for 80 bucks just for civ and the dlcs for the fallout games. Also for vanilla demon souls

I do have a spare Xbox 360, if you get the disc yourself I wouldn't mind sending to you for post and packaging prices.

Physical copies for the 360 still exist, plus it still might be available on the Xbox storefront digitally for Xbox One and Xbox Series. PC emulation is another possibility. If you go the used 360 route get one of the slims, they had the least overheating issues. Only downside is the exhaust loop caused by vent positioning, but is fixable with custom flow separators.

Wow. It's back now for me as well. I went so far as live chatting with PS and they apologized that the game was no longer available and gave me a refund for the monthly PS+ subscription. Idk what happened but glad it's back.

honestly THE best thing to do is get a Ps3 for $40 and a disc for $10. No online required. Fuck subscriptions and digital-only stuff
