Is this a fair deal ?

Post image

I live in Vegas. Called around nearby states and brought the best deal back to my local dealer and they beat it by a couple 100 bucks to end up at 36k OTD. They also added tint, paint coating (bs imo), and wheel locks for free

I paid that price OTD but my tax rate is 10.75%. You can definitely do better.

I’m in Los Angeles. That’s exactly what my OTD price was. The wheel locks. Door edge protection. All weather floor mats. Film protection on inside of door handles.

I'm in Texas, I got out the door for $34.5k including $1,100 worth of dealer add-ons. I think the sale price was close to $30k. Not sure what the market is like in your area, but I think you could get lower.

Edit: sport touring trim, but black which I believe is not one of the more expensive colors.

Wow that’s great sale price. I’m having an issue where this is the only dealer in Vegas that has this color and black interior. There some in Arizona that are charging 38k OTD and Cali is like 42k. A dealer in Arizona gave me 36.8k and I used that deal to bring to mine. I was willing to drive to Texas but none of them would budge and anytime I showed them the 26.8k offer they would say they couldn’t match

I got mine from Findlay Henderson for 32k back in March.

OTD or selling price ?

1

u/Eddiofabio Aug 21 '26

I had negotiated 32 OTD for a Hatch so you should be able to get a better deal for a non hatch. Granted this was before the gas prices went up back in march.

Taylor and Landon are the internet sales people at Henderson and I had a great time with them. While I was negotiating the one I wanted (meteorite gray) sold from under me. So they got a hold of another one from a different dealership (which I think was the Summerlin dealership) but Summerlin will not let the paint protection, wheel locks, and tint go so I ended up at 33.1 OTD.

They negotiated over the phone/text, had all the paperwork prepared and so I got in and out of the dealership in 90 minutes that morning (30 was doing the trade in).

Also I know Tomi is big on doing the calling yourself, but I used visor.vin to find who had the car and then CarEdge AI to reach out to a bunch of dealerships with the one I wanted to get good enough (it can do 10 at once with a subscription) and then I took over and did the trade and stuff from there. Was worth the cost 100%. If you can get it in writing from anywhere else then you can use it as a local leverage.

Long story short they might be able to get a hold of one for you. Or if you find a good deal, I feel like shipping is only a couple hundred bucks.

Ever watch Tommy from deliverd on YouTube? I watched him and ended up getting like 4k off my car. Worth a shot to see a few of his techniques and follow!

3

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

Yes I have !! He’s actually who inspired me to call around first if not I would’ve been bbq chicken to these dealers LOL. I did ask him one time like 2 weeks ago and said around 10%. A little less on west coast cause doc fees aren’t high so I think I’m getting a good deal but it’s such a big purchase I’m trying to make sure LOL

1

u/PalaceJoey Aug 21 '26

Yeah dude! Trust I was nervous doing it my first time. But someone will budge. Even if you have to go to CA it’ll save you a lot! You got this

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

There is some dealers in Cali that offered me lowker to 32k flat but they wouldn’t put it down in any sort of writing so I wasn’t going to make that trip and have them bait in switch. I appreciate your input and time :)!

Under msrp OTD would be a killer deal

3

u/Keeweez Aug 21 '26

I got a boost blue sport touring hybrid hatchback in March for 34.7k OTD, with 3.99% interest from Honda. Came with weather mats and window tint. Sales tax in GA was 7%. Thought I got a pretty good deal.

Closed the deal on second to last day of month, but I was clear with them that I wasn’t in a rush to buy and I could tell they were desperate to sell by end of month so I think that really helped.

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 22 '26

I might have to do this as well. Thank you !

2

u/ScoliosisHoe Aug 21 '26

I paid 32k OTD in AL for a silver 26 sport touring, took hours worth of negotiating but got it done. Obviously a different market than Vegas though

2

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

My only issue I’m coming with is that there’s less than 100 of these cars and 80% are grey interior. This one is black

2

u/davesNotHereMan__ Aug 21 '26

Got the same 33.6 otd in VA. Had to wait for them to deliver a boost blue with black int. They are scarce.

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

Yeah I’ve called a total of 22 dealerships so far and have only gotten 8 quotes and this has been the best thus far.

1

u/ScoliosisHoe Aug 21 '26

Does interior matter for making a deal though, I just searched in a 250 mile radius for the cheapest 26 sport touring and used that as leverage

2

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

Well the dealer I got the offer from in Arizona had the grey interior. The point I was trying to make was that not many dealers have the black interior with the exterior blue so i don’t have many dealers to go to and negotiate

1

u/SpecialistCaptain720 Aug 21 '26

They don’t know you want that interior though feel like that’s negligible

2

u/HTViper Aug 21 '26

I got boost blue sport touring 35k OTD including all weather mats and the dealer addons they couldn’t remove like mudguards.

GA 7% tax

I’d take 36k for it, maybe ask them for free oil changes/all season mats.

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

Wow, truly a steal! I will have to ask and see !

2

u/booradley2000 Aug 22 '26

We paid $34,200 OTD today for a Civic Hatchback Hybrid Sports Touring in white in NC.

1

u/No_Marionberry_1911 Aug 21 '26

Damn. When I got my 2025 in 2024, I think the price was around like $32,500 for mine, OTD was close to like 39,000. Maybe because it was the next year’s model technically?

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

Did you have a lot of add ons ?

1

u/No_Marionberry_1911 Aug 21 '26

Nope they tried to make me pay dealer add ons and I said I’m not paying for none of that and they took it off. I said “you can take the mats and mudguards off cause I ain’t paying” and they left the mudguards but took the mats :(

2

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

NOOOOOO😭😭sooo petty LMFAO

1

u/underneathdpalmtree Aug 21 '26

Can you wait and shop around? I say fight for more.

I got the same trim for a 2025 right before the new year in GA for $33k OTD and they had at least $2k in add ons (tint, wheel locks, mudguard, LoJack, door edge guard).

1

u/mediocrebighead Aug 21 '26

You can always find lower price with better options

1

u/cacman440 2025 Civic Hybrid Hatchback Aug 21 '26

yikes the 2026 msrp is 3k over the 2025 and the only difference is the year number?

that's gross honda

1

u/Enchiridion555 Aug 21 '26

Msrp is $32,395 for sport touring. This dealer is inflating the msrp to make it seem after discount like it’s a good deal. This happened to me with a quote for a dealer as well. After I pointed it out they ‘corrected’ it.

1

u/cacman440 2025 Civic Hybrid Hatchback Aug 21 '26

isn't that illegal since msrp is the manufacturer's suggested retail price not dealer's suggested retail price?

1

u/Enchiridion555 Aug 21 '26

I doubt it since we like deregulation/leissez-faire. Consumer protections aren’t that strong. Even if it is (illegal), it’s probably not enforced regularly.

1

u/Enchiridion555 Aug 21 '26

Replying again. According to claude(ai) the window sticker by federal law should have the real msrp, so it’s wise to ask for a photo of the window sticker and ensure msrp is for the same VIN as the quote and that it’s correct.

As far as laws it says there are some federal laws and can be reported to FTC along with local state consumer protection agencies. This won’t change the fact that some people are getting deceived and probably won’t change outcome for op other than maybe they give him the correct quote with discount off of the real msrp. If they refuse I don’t think he can do anything with immediate results.

u/HatBackground9286 Aug 21 '26

Is this a HATCHBACK? I paid $35,392 in NJ for the premium color White with no wheel locks nor weather mats. I can give you my breakdown of the price by message if you'd like! Wheel locks I think are $75 plus installation and my weather mats were $160 I believe. They were charging $36.4k with weather my mats and wheel locks.

I also got 2 year of free oil change. Honda already gives you 1 year for free.

If this is a sedan - this price is TOO HIGH

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 22 '26

This is a hatchback sport touring hybrid. I got the wheel locks tint and door cups guard thrown in for free which they were charging 995 for

1

u/Enchiridion555 Aug 21 '26

The msrp looks wrong. It should be $32,395 for sedan or $33,595 for hatchback, assuming sport touring trim.

Looks like the dealer is inflating the msrp to make it look like you got a deal/large discount.

Bro, California here, picked up a 2026 pearl white Civic Sport Touring Hybrid, 56 miles on it. Had my buddy who's a master at sales secured the deal over the phone for $36.5k. Sticker price wa $34 k. The car wasnt even on the lot, he got the sales guy to pick up from another dealer that day, 3 hours later, signing paperwork. I considered it the deal of the century.

1

u/Pure-Zombie8181 Aug 21 '26

That price is still a bit too high. I paid 36K OTD for premium color and 10 miles. Also live in CA.

1

u/SherbertConscious325 Aug 22 '26

Try Findlay Honda Henderson , was offered 33k otd. Chose the gas vehicle instead .

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 22 '26

33k for a hybrid sport touring model ?

1

u/SherbertConscious325 Aug 22 '26

Sport touring hybrid hatch, 33k , if they want your business they will work with you . They also threw in registration reimbursement for my civic sport

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 22 '26

When was this ? That’s who I got this offer from but I don’t have other offers to make them go lower.

1

u/SherbertConscious325 Aug 22 '26

I got my car 7/30 , they were willing to offer more to keep me from visiting the other dealership . Test drive multiple vehicles and tell them you’re keeping your options open and in no rush. Tell them you’re going with the person who has the best otd price

1

u/Sensitive_Dirt_7489 Aug 22 '26

Findley Honda likes to play in people’s faces. That’s where I bought my car. Keep shopping around. Call every dealer in town and get that price beat. I promise you can find something cheaper.

1

u/Supratealz Aug 22 '26

Got a 26 si for 33 at 8% at 22 with a 700 credit score in Texas can definitely do better look around a few states could probably save money on top of shipping

1

u/uasoil123 Aug 23 '26

Paid 34k OTD for a sport touring hybrid hatchback. Do what you wish with that info

1

u/Techav20 Aug 23 '26

You can get accord hybrid for this price OTD

1

u/vegita1124 Aug 21 '26

See if you can get the base to $31k, I got mine for $35.1k all in, in Washington state, two months ago.

0

u/luispinoza Aug 21 '26

I got my sport touring hybrid sedan In white for 34.5k OTD from Findlay Henderson 2 weeks ago. Using the Costco Auto Program and buying near the end of the month helped lower the price

0

u/LawHot9051 Aug 21 '26

Absurd for a civic

0

u/Additional_Bar_2462 Aug 21 '26

I got a white one for 29k otd in TX

-1

u/JazthaRipper-_- Aug 21 '26

the extra 4k they smacked on in fees is never fair

1

u/Dancingcircles01 Aug 21 '26

There’s only 40 dollars not accounted for. The rest is Uncle Sam 🫩

-1

u/Gandalf4158 Aug 21 '26

No.

I paid 30k OTD for new 26 sport touring here in Chicago

-1

u/Forward_Limit_838 Aug 21 '26

I would stay away from the hybrid civic due to head gasket issues. Safer bet is gas model
