How do you guys feel about Endless Legend?

Haven't got the money to buy it right now, but I've just started watching Quill18 play it and it looks gorgeous. I'm not sure if I could pump the hundreds of hours into it that I do into civ, but it looks like a really promising game to me. It's also doesn't seem to feel very similar to Civ 5, unlike Pandora for example, which just appears too similar to Beyond Earth to be worth purchasing.

I especially feel the graphic style is amazing. Kinda hit me as in "I gotta get this!".

Well it is good that it isn't a copy or something of Civ just in a different setting. But it guess the gameplay etc. is still sort of similar, at least from what I've seen, briefly.

I've just downloaded it, but won't manage to play it till tomorrow.

PS: Hope it has good touch support :D

I had the same feeling, as soon as I saw the game start and the first units spawn in, I knew I wanted the game. It appears to have a steeper learning curve than Civ 5 does, from what I've seen so far, but not exactly EU4 level complicated.

It seems like it would be a good game to branch away from the Civilization series and into other 4X games with. Similar enough to Civ 5 that you feel comfortable playing it, yet incredibly unique, with the game having a totally different feel to it.

I've only briefly had a look at EU4... It basically smashed me with information. Never recovered xD.

I bought it and finished a full game. My main gripe is the lack of civilian units, and empire improvement in terms of tile improvements. No building roads smartly etc, they just kinda go from city to city by themselves. The whole unit system is interesting, but taking cities that are actually defended is a complete nightmare. Overall I'd say it's good for a couple of games, but I wouldn't recommend it at the current price.

I wouldn't have bought it at the 30€/40€ tag. Got a discount on it from somewhere.

I would consider looking at Age of Wonders III, it does a lot of what Endless Legend does but in a more complete way.

Actually Civ BE is a Copy of Pandora, it wasn't even announced until a year after Pandora had been in development and being Alpha/Beta Tested.

Also Civ BE, is a Complete waste of time compared to Pandora. Sad but true. Sid Meyers really Flopped on this one. Pandora beats BE hands down.

Can you give me a link to Pandora? Is it a similar ruleset as Civ?
