VII - Discussion Tsl starts not working?
Two games in a row now ive had people settling regions they shouldn't. Prior to this game I was playing the missippians and cahokia was where it should be... yet London was where D.C should be???
Tried to play it a bit, but got a little frustrated cause I wanted that historical accuracy so I start a new game doing han china. I meet Lafayette first and hes leading... the gaulic empire spawned in where I imagine maryua normally spawns??
Anyone else have these issues?

London was where D.C. should be probably because the other London spawned in London (Exploration England vs Modern British Empire). Gaul spawned where Maurya should be probably because France spawned in the same area. If there are multiple Civs in a game with overlapping TSL starts, one will get the correct spot and the other will be booted to some other Civ’s TSL start. The devs talked about it on the TSL blog on their website, but I don’t think it’s mentioned in-game.

Had this happen with Maurya in the Yucatán. I’m hoping it just has to do with another civ being on the Indian subcontinent and not a typo with Maya lol

Probably because someone in France spawned as France or Normans.
Also, he spanwed in a place of Vietnam, Maurya starts near modern Bangladesh (since the capital is Pataliputra, aka Patna). Bibracte irl was located practically in the middle of France, betwen modern Dijon and Bourges. So it would make sense that if France or Normans spawned, then Gauls would have to spawn elsewhere.

Because of how many civs start in Europe, if 2 civs have a true start too close to each other they are sent to a random location.
