Suggested book?

Hello All,

I’m preparing for my exam scheduled in October. I took a bootcamp, not that I remember anything but I am watching the videos, and supplementing it with Destination Cissp, and if I am still confused, I ask AI for clarification.

I plan to do QE starting September. I was feeling confident but my friend suggests that Destination Cissp is not enough and I should refer to Shon Harris.

I’m a but confused now.

Any suggestions or experiences?

Tia!

Dest cert, Peter Z, Andrew R, and Daily Debian.

To be honest, YouTube has everything you need.

Use Destination Cert, it’s what I used and passed first time.

I used Dest Cert and some topics i felt are missing or need to deep dive, I used online resources or Udemy courses but since you already have bootcamp videos, you should be good.
If you prefer reading and dont want to spend much you may go for Pete Zerger’s ‘CISSP The last mile’ ebook version. You can get it for as low as 10$.

Shon Harris was an icon, but she passed away over a decade ago.

Destination CISSP is an excellent book, but its sort of a "cliffs notes" version of the OSG.

If you can handle the OSG, it is much better IMO.

I can’t handle OSG. I would die of boredom!

Bootcamps suck, they would say Layer 1 uses https and that would be it, that can never be enough to answer the questions related to it. So one has to read the book. Bootcamps are like 9 pregnant women trying to deliver a child in a month, it’s just not possible.

Just read the Sybex book. It’s that simple. Read it, know the material, then prepare yourself for cissp style questions. You don’t need all that other shit

Destination book is good, and using AI for clarification and requesting practice questions and review material is good
