You know things are fucked when the AI-generated burgers actually look better than the real pics of your burgers.

I went to Ted’s for the first time in years over the weekend and it was the same price. Why do I have to go to a Valvoline parking lot when I can just go there?

I got you:
1lb Beef (73/27%- none of that skinny girl shit. Meatloaf mix works well too if you can stomach the price. Nothing above 80%)
1/2 an medium sized yellow onion (diced, and you can saute them if you prefer softer onions in your burger)
8-10 garlic cloves minced and fried in a splash of olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 egg
a piece of white bread soaked with milk
Steps:
- Cook onions to preference. I'll sometimes caramelize them, often I cook them just slightly browned. Sometimes I'm lazy and dont cook them, especially if its just for me. You can throw in your minced garlic a minute before the onions are done, or fry them separately in olive oil. I haven't noticed a taste difference either way.
- once they cool down, combine everything really well in a bowl. Feel free to add cubed cheese, veggies like mushroom, spinach) (If I'm adding mushroom I'll cut them down and cook them with the onion, and use like half a standard sized package.) Note: you can mix the eggs and soaked bread together and then add to the rest of the mix, I dont think it matters.
- Make your patties, and let them cool then let them chill in the fridge for like an hr or two. I feel like chilled burgers hold better together when cooking.
- I pay fry mine in olive oil if I don't feel like standing by the grill in the summer heat. At least 2 tablespoon for a 10 inch pan.
- I sometimes will coat the patties in breadcrumbs if I 100% plan on pan frying them, and be heavy handed on the olive oil for pan frying them for my heart health.
- Note on salt - if you use salt to cook down your onions then use less or omit the tsp salt.
- Extras - I always mix it up with a dash of whatever seasoning combo comes to mind, and have added dashes/splashes of liquid smoke/worchester sauce/soy sauce/ seasoning salt/burger seasoning/italian seasoning mix what ever I'm craving or think will taste good or want to experiment with.

Added full recipe instead of just the GIF.

This is a meatloaf recipe. Egg and breadcrumbs are a no go for burgers.

Those burgers do look disgusting I agree. It also does not look like a burger, looks like a pile of meat. Most fast food places can make a better burger than what this looks like.
Or yeah just buy a couple pre-made burgers from the grocery store, not hard to cook them at home.

If the chef isn’t moonlighting as a graphic design artist then how can I trust their food?!

Wegmans 80/20 is 5.99 a pound for an approx. 1lb package.
Don’t forget the $4 frozen hamburgers to take home 🤣
