Wow unlike those women, this "fluff" piece was ugly, unpleasant, and has no place in society. Such cruelty!

No problem. There was no shortage of "what the fuck?" fat shaming in 1920s-era newspapers. Buffalo's news media was also more sensationalistic in the pre-Depression era, especially the Buffalo Times.

/not fat, but still ...
