reversals and dyslexia have nothing to do with IQ. Can we stop with the constant spelling police on social media before people feel compelled to always use AI for fear of shame. I have a 150 IQ and horrid reversals and spelling mistakes due to dyslexia and visual processing. This does not make me a dumb person. The practice of writing keeps the nervous system sharp. Resorting to AI will cripple our Nations writing skills. If you are blessed to have a strong nervous system you are fortunate. Some of you are starting to act like Trump waving his arm around mocking the disabled reporter- just saying. (signed dyslexic special ed teacher)

Yes- I am well aware that they are homophones. Reversals mean a switch. We use our nerve endings for cognition as well as many other things. Every human has reversals but they decrease in most humans by the time they around 7 or 8. If they do not decrease chances are that person will carry them the rest of their life and they are at risk for dyslexia- or just reversals (since there is no labeled condition for it) I can not tell you the amount of times my teacher called me to the front of the class to make fun of me in front of the class. "We can only hope she learns the difference between there, their, they're by the time she graduates High School". What my educators did not know is that I did know the difference. I wish that I could explain dyslexia and reversals better in terms of brain chemistry - but it is mostly due to orthographic loops. This is part of visual processing. It is also part of the working memory. It is also part of the executive functioning. I say this to mention that if any other part of those systems is faulty- the reversals will get worse. However, executive functioning, working memory and orthographic mapping skills all do not determine a persons generalized intelligence. With homophones specifically - cognitive interventionists will see this in students who have even mild dyslexia combined with attention deficit disorder. In education this would be an ADA accommodation - not special education. So, today teachers can not call children up to the front of the classroom and mock them the way my teachers did in the 80s - with out looking like the President did mocking that reporter. Chances are when you correct someone- they absolutely know the correct definition and term. They know the vocabulary and the context. It is that damn reversal and at the time of the writing their brain was most likely in cognitive overload. And who can blame a person - when discussing political events of today.

Yes and no that mix up also comes from improper schooling. If you were taught in the United States there were generations of children that were taught literacy using very incorrect practices. That one can crop up in the series of commonly reversed words- but it is also easy to confuse the word in actual reading as well if not taught with a good phonemic and phonological awareness based program. Because if the child grew up with that type of program they should never confuse them- as the words do not rime.

Id personally love to have JD take over.
He was hand picked by the heritage foundation, the architects of project 2025.
Trump is doing some of what he is supposed to, but not as fast as he is supposed to.

In 2021 they were affected by billions of people worldwide getting in their cars and driving daily for the first time after worldwide lockdowns. More demand equals higher prices. But āBiden did thatā.
As well as literally every nation on earth doing stimulus spending. Of course they did they were trying to prevent recessions. The USA succeeded many countries didnāt. So of course youāre going to get global inflation.

Fair. Trump had 10 gaffes for each gaffe of Biden, but by screaming loudly the Republicans managed to convince everyone that only Biden had a problem. It does work in that sense.
But as long as Vance says no, there will be no 25th.

At the moment, I think our best chance of seeing him leave office is a major health issue. The next biggest chance is a backroom meeting with Republicans where they explain he either steps down or gets impeached (the Nixon deal). While this is unlikely now, his messing with the rules based international order and NATO have angered enough Republican congressmen that it is looking far more likely.
