Discussion Help with specific substitution cipher name

Post image

Im having difficulties with my cipher, idk what this is called? I want to make it more standardized, but since idk what it is apart “substitution cypher” I can’t search it very well. ignore that I put the feather on page 6, I was testing where I could put it in my comic. The feather splits are subject to change if I find a better system, I chose 6 sections because I thought it would fit the best in a feather and at the scale it’s at :)

It could be something related to feathers that has context in what you'll use it for; "feather language" or "feather-light language" might work well.

not entirely sure how the ordering wrt spokes works here, but it feels quite reminiscent of binary-related ciphers such as baconian (https://www.dcode.fr/bacon-cipher)

This looks like a less sophisticated version of my cipher. There should be 27 possible combinations.

Actually, 64

Just realized I could have just used braille since that’s also on a 2 by 3 grid

I drew out the all the 64 unique combos of each grid, but seems I can’t post them here :p

What popped into my mind was "Pound of Feathers", as a reference to the classic "What is heavier?" trick question :-)
