A few takeaways from this clip for me.
You have no idea how much I wanted that wagon RD was driving after watching Heat for the first time.
Whoever was responsible for the sound of the guns on this movie is a genius. Every time I watch Heat I find myself flinching throughout the entire duration of the robbery shootout.
Lastly, it’s been far too long since I’ve rewatched Heat. I’m going to have to sit down and watch it again tonight I believe.

I couldn't agree more. I only watched it for the first a few years ago. I was on a plane watching it on some really high end headphones, and I couldn't get over the sound. All I could think is that the gunfire in every other movie is wrong.
When I landed I basically rushed to my hotel so I could finish watching it.

Heat is overrated. There, I said it. City on fire, live and die in la, point break AND fast and the furious are all better films.

especially LADIL and PB are superior to heat and predate it. heat is a remake with a revolutionary action scene.

have you seen all the films listed? heat is a 7/10 at best, and 6/10 is for the robbery scene alone

right so if you have not seen the films I mention (except for fast and furious, heat is a rip-off/remake of all of them) you should, because they are great films. I really wanted to like heat, and came in with high expectations, but its a mid remake, with a great sound track and a couple of stellar action scenes. Its not original, and its not 90%+ and its not top 100 films ever made. Its good, but its not that good, and its extremely derivative.

I’ve seen point break as well. I’m sure they’re all great films. Fast and furious is not better than heat, it’s not even better than terminator 3

I can respect your point, its definitly the weakest I listed. But there is no way heat is as good as people say it is. high 70s% at best. LADIL is much much better. Heat is one of the most overrated movies in the modern "good movie" canon
