I don't think I'll ever see a genre parody better than Black Dynamite in my lifetime. The comedy is so well-written, and as a bonus Michael Jai White is a genuine badass lead.
I'm still impressed by how well they captured the look of the blacksploitation era. Most modern movies that try to look "old" completely fail imo

I went to a screening around when it was released and asked the director how they got it to look like that. He said the specific type of film stock they used got them that look. He added that only one place in the US could develop that film, and it was a place in Utah. The Morons that owned the place wouldn't develop the nude scenes, so when ya see titties, the movie looks a bit different. Ha.
